Avoid ring 3 seats 14 and 15 as they position you straight behind a pillar, making it really difficult to see the stage and proceedings. Generally, on ring 3, highest row of seats, be prepared to stand in order to see the stage and follow what's going on. The orchestra can't be seen from this highest row of seats. The... More

I ve heard that it's challenging to get tickets to bolshoi and planned my experience 2 months in advance. I bought 2 tickets to see The Nutcracker for $ 200 each through ticketbis and it was the biggest disappointment. They were 2nd raw balcony tickets and I was not able to see half of the stage. The play was amazing... More

I have no chance to be there during a play but just the idea to be in the Bolshoi was fantastic, since the external square you can see the magnificence of the place, inside everything is luxury

Nice seats but I don't like Opera so it was torture for me about about and hour and very expensive for tickets.

I went there on the 28th of december (and started looking for the tickest less than a month and a half before, though) and managed only to find a ticket for the noon ballet (the nutcracker) and paid more than € 250 for a ticket, by a second-market dealer (tickets were sold out from the official site and I had... We got tickets for the new year’s show of "The Nutcracker" and I was quite excited due to the reputation of the Bolshoi Theatre and the ticket prices. Unfortunately the whole experience fell short of impressing me by far. The Champaign sold was 2000 Rubels per glass. In general I love a nice degree of luxury, but the Champaign is... More

The theatre is incredibly beautiful and the opera was wonderfully performed. I can't wait to go again for the ballet. Our seats were about 8 rows behind the orchestra seating. I would highly recommend seeing a performance here.

Our family of three paid dearly thru 3rd Perry ticket agency for tickets to the Bolshoi to see my fav the Nutcracker ballet - or symphony with dancing is how like to think of it. We ended up with very fine seats and a memory for life. The theater is awesome, the performance was awesome . The champaign was expensive... More

Staying in Tverskaya

Neighborhood Profile
Tverskaya
Tverskaya can’t be discovered with just a first glance, the neighborhood is shaped around a long street populated with well-known shops and brands. But it’s more than shopping that makes this place interesting. Take a few steps into the streets running parallel to the main artery to discover the charm just behind the mighty Stalinist style architecture. Comfy European pedestrian streets Bolshaya Dmitrovka or Stoleshnikov lane are a great place to start. Locals can be found here working, eating, shopping, resting and going to the Bolshoi Theatre in the evening.
