Best of Moscow
Apr 2021
The Moscow Kremlin is one of the most famous places in the world. It's the seat of Russia for centuries and the most historic place in the capital.
Inside the walls there're government edifices you cannot enter, most important and beautiful Churches you can enter but cannot take photos, as well Royal museums like the armory and many monuments.
For seeing all the above you'll need almost an entire day, so plan carefully.

Quite a memory
Jan 2020
A little late in reviewing but can only say what a fantastic experience this was. Our tour guide was excellent - and patient when we were confused over the meeting place. This tour has a potted history of the Kremlin from outside its walls, after which you enter the Kremlin and explore by yourself. We opted to visit the diamond collection, something I will not forget. Whilst you are free to wander there are many restricted areas which are clearly marked. Try and combine with changing the guard at the eternal flame.

Well well the red square

The landmark of all Soviet and Russian parades, the heavily Italian or even Roman architecture surrounding you, moseleum of Stalin, great yet kinda expensive restaurants and the heart of Moscow.

Get ready for the crowds
Sep 2019
We were there in a chilly September and early in the day. However there was still a queue and once inside its pretty crowded and you will need to queue to look at exhibits and dodge between tour groups and school groups. Exquisite items on display in the armoury and a couple of other buildings to visit. Its a large complex with not much open to the public. Its still a huge drawcard.

A Must See but no photos allowed inside buildings.

The Kremlin is a collection of several attractions, the Architectural Ensemble (basically the main Kremlin grounds, museums and several historic Orthodox Cathedrals), the Armoury (the Treasury including carriages, Faberge eggs, jewellery, armour and ceremonial clothing), the Diamond Fund (basically a collection of individual stones and some set pieces) and the Ivan Bell Tower. We purchased our tickets on line for the Architectural Ensemble (day ticket) and Armoury (timed ticket, different day) from the official website as soon as our dates were available (17 days prior). The Diamond Fund tickets are purchased from inside the Armoury. Prices are quite cheap given the world class exhibits. We did not attempt to buy tickets to the Bell Tower following advice on line and confirmed by our guide that it is like winning the lottery and you have to hang around for hours on the one in a hundred chance that you might score tickets. Note that even though you buy in advance, you still have to queue up to exchange your “voucher” for a ticket and you will need your original passport as ID. Not sure if this is much quicker than buying tickets direct but since we were in peak time and Armoury tickets are quite limited, advance purchase is highly recommended.
We visited the Cathedrals as part of a tour with Viki Tours (Armoury we did ourselves, audio guide is free and very good but covers the main exhibits only – to get detailed commentary on everything would take a whole day) and we had planned our visit to coincide with the Ceremonial mounting parade of Horse Guard and Foot Guard of the Presidential Regiment at midday on Saturday. This is a worthwhile addition if you can plan it, but may have also accounted for the very large crowd there that day (or that could be normal in June).
Unfortunately, no photography is allowed inside the cathedrals or the Armoury Museum.

A vary attractive place to visit. The whole Russian history passes in front of you. Always over crowded. Very easy to be there. Underground is an option. Many other historical places around to visit.

One of the most iconic things in Moscow
Feb 2020 • Couples
Kremlin is one of these iconic must see things that you can’t miss when you are in Moscow. You have to see the Red Square and you have to see Kremlin! Politically, historically and artistically speaking! Get the tickets to enter the walls and stroll the Cathedral square! Churches are stunning and so impressive inside! You will see the tsar bell and tsar cannon too. If you buy additional tickets, you can visit the diamond fond, the armory and other things. All worth the time and money. Highly recommended at any time of the year!
