This park is really large and has several interesting places to go to. You can start at the Memorial Synagogue, see the museum of the "Great Patriotic War", a war monument, a perpetual flame in memory of the unknown soldier, and a steep needle of peace. Afterward lose yourself in the quiet of the forest.

Vast and maintained meticulously, Victory Park was built in 1945 to commemorate Russia's victory during the second World War. It contains not only the monument but also huge, lovely and wonderfully maintained gardens with lovely fountains adding to the mesmerising beauty of the garden. Long walks surrounded by meticulously nurtured lawns spotted with well-groomed trees and gushing fountains with spring-clean... More

You'll understand how marking the defeat of Germany in 1945 has become a form of state religion when you visit this stunning museum dedicated to World War II. It's set at the heart of Park Pobedy (Victory Park) and includes an art gallery, a hall of remembrance and some fantastic exhibits. Highlights for any history buff include the Nazi declaration... Very impressive monument, especially when you think of all the lives commemorated. Beautiful grounds and stunning monuments, truly on a Russian scale. Take walking shoes. It does have a Metro station, but it is quite a long ride out of the city, but well worth it.

Huge parkland expanse celebrating such questionable victories as the Battle of Borodino (where Russia lost 70,000 soldiers without stopping the French Army of the Republic in 1812) and World War 1 (where Russia capitulated to Germany & Austro-Hungary in 1917 after losing 5,000,000 soldiers).

Park is lovely. Museum is a must-see according to all. Small cathedral on the side is exceptionally beautiful with reasonable souvenirs.

We actually found this kind of by accident when we were touring the Moscow metro stations. We got out at Park Pobedy to experience the longest metro escalator in the world, and saw this amazing park and sculptures. Checked the guide book and decided to visit the museum. It was really worth it - a really interesting glimpse into Soviet... More
