Though this isn't a top destination; for kids it might still be worth it. By international standards it is ok; but it is still an option for families, conveniently located downtown.

Very broad range of animals and birds. Can easily keep children, particularly young ones, happy for quite a few hours. The animals seem well cared for but whilst we were there we did not see any organized feedings.

Wonderful zoo to visit. Credit cards accepted universally. Plenty of places to eat and shop for souvenirs. Children friendly zoo. Lots of animals to see. Plan ahead, zoo is large area and will require more time than thought. 4 hours can go by fast. I...More

Cages for animals are small. Animals are not well kept, many have skin problems. There were many empty cages.

Most of the animals are kept in very small cages in comparison with other zoos around the world. Also people can touch and feed lot of animals with their own food altough it is forbidden. But no one cares. Horrible zoo for all who want...More

The neighborhood is divided into two major halves by
Krasnaya Presnya street: the southern part highlights
Moscow city – businesses contained in skyscrapers
along with the White House - where the Russian
government works. The north is a bit more relaxed and
casual, visitors here will find the Moscow zoo,
National Centre for Contemporary Arts and a number of
fine restaurants. The beautiful neo-gothic Cathedral
