We visited Moscow to celebrate the Orthodox Christmas it didn’t disappoint. The Christmas fair in Red Square was amazing the decorations surpassed New York! Red Square has many attractions including museums Lenin’s tomb and St Basils Cathedral.

Perfect at any time, visited at the early January. A lot for winter activities, skating ring (if you don't have one you can rent there). Carrousels and swings...warm drinks and snacks...All of this winter activities finishing end of February. Good to go.

Red Square is not always open so I can not say yes for sure. They put barricades and guards up and closed it for two days during my stay. You could Look in but not walk through. Much of Moscow was lit when we arrived at 5 am... More
