I sent a request for a greeter for September, and donated USD25 as requested. Since then I've heard nothing, and e-mails have gone unanswered. Is this a scam.

On 28th July I sent a request for a greeter for the 19th September, and donated USD25 as requested. Since then I've heard nothing, and e-mails to Alexey have gone unanswered. It's no use trying to get my money back through PayPal, as it is a donation and no goods or services attach to donations. A nice little scam. Don't waste your money on Moscow Greeters unless you enjoy balancing their books.

Julia - She is the lady behind our incredibly amazing trip to Saint Petersburg. A very humble, polite, friendly lady who met us as our guide but by the day became a friend from Russia who was there whenever needed. Although we found everyone very humble and gentle in Moscow and St. Petersburg, however, she made us feel comfortable, safe and more importantly home. With her (just in a day), we walked through all important places in St. Pet. She walked with us all throughout the day (appx. 22 km) to show us around and was still energetic & excited abt everything. Being a history teacher, she was well informed about all the structures, monuments, museums in the city and we (being outsider) enjoyed her company and hands-on knowledge a lot. She was fun and I 100% recommend her to all my friends, colleagues and acquaintances.

Picked us from the great Budapest hotel, an easy half hour walk to Kremlin. All the good reviews you read about her, she is all that, and more. Explains why and where all the history and the site, and walk through the Metropole hotel. Why the square is called RED how the sites come to be there, see many churches or less,. You decide what to include, with three stops to admire the Arts in Moscow's subway. and you see the original house of Leo Tolstoy. Lunch in a restaurant with healthy Russian food. You will enjoy and tip generously and be greatful for all the talent and history.
