An interesting idea to collect slot machines from our childhood in one place.
At one time, we spent a lot of time throwing 15 kopeck coins in order to shoot at Sea Battle or Sniper.
You can visit this museum as a way of nostalgia, and in order to acquaint children with the games that we played more than 30 years ago. But not the fact that they will impress them more than modern games.
Many machines don't work.

A cool place with a nice and friendly atmosphere. You can walk around and check out all the games for free, but you have to pay in order to use the arcade machines. There´s a nice variety of different games, although shooting and submarine games make out the majority. Note that these are not your typical modern arcade games- the games are more of a novelty, and the entertainment value quickly wears off. However, seeing the games in action is still cool, and you get a feeling of how cutting edge the games must have been when they were first released.

In addition to solo player games, there are also multiplayer games here, including ice hockey and basketball games. There´s also a photobooth near the entrance for taking funny pictures in black and white. The best museum I have ever been, you get the chance to play with old arcade games, and it is very cheap! The museum shop is also awesome, if I lived in Moscow I would be there everyday!

We were unable to find the museum with the building seeming to be under renovation, no signs to indicate where it had gone or when it would open again.

Located in a very beautiful location - the Expo Center - it is nice to walk to the museum.
Compared to gaming today this machines are ancient :)
but the fact that you see those kids playing, and not happy when they have to leave, it shows you that gaming was always fun! :)

Went with my teens. Be warned there was no air conditioning. The staff is very friendly. The place is well set up. And you can even buy Soviet memorabilia such as sneakers and even sodas from a Soviet machine. They give you coins with your ticket. NO reason to buy more...you certainly have enough. The games are remarkably bad in comparison to the video games at that time in the USA...many of them are challenging to use and there is of course the language barrier and some don't function well. There are instructions but for the most part didn't use them (as we didn't find them too helpful). But it's how bad the games are that makes the experience amazing...it's symbolic of the Soviet era and totally worth your time! Can learn more about cultural history here than in many other classic museums!

Even being from the USA, these old Soviet arcade games were a lot of fun! Pay an entrance fee and they give you a handful of coins to be transported back 30-40 years.

Any age will have a good time. Centrally located in the tourist area, easy to find.

Would certainly recommend for a change of seeing the typical tourism things.
