Very clean and comfy

We travelled to St. Petersburgh on this train, I would not say it was fast by our standard, but a very pleasant train journey. Spotlessly clean and comfortable seats.

Easily located our carriage and conductor checked our passports. On train staff helped us store our luggage. Good start. Train left on time. Not sure why all seats faced backwards in our carriage. As it was a 4 hour trip, it would have been better if we faced ahead. Staff were helpful. Lunch was delicious. Unfortunately a young child in... More

By thought & by design there's no better way to travel between St Petersburg & Moscow (& vice versa) than on Sapsan:-)From the moment I stepped onboard the economy coach was akin to any 1st class I've ever traveled in. The climate controlled coaches, the extra legroom, the cafeteria & bar facilities coupled with extra clothes hanging area.Again I have... More

I bought Sapsan ticket online and that was my first time to ride on the bullet train from St Petersburg to Moscow only 4 hours. They sold food & drink more expensive. When I bought the ticket online I chose seat with table. This train is really comfort even with the high speed. It's recommended that you booked online because... More

Sapsan will probably be faster than plane because it departs from the city center and you don't have to be at the station long time in advance. But make sure you have some time to pass the safety controls.

This was a great way for us to get from Moscow to St Petersburg. Easy check-in and comfortable seats. Easy access and easy exit. It was interesting to see the countryside and some Russian villages as we swept by. We travelled first class and were served a decent meal and drinks. There is also business and economy. All in all... More

If you want to travel to St Petersburg quickly and without much hassle, you should take Sapsan. The first train departs Moscow at 05.40am (I took it twice) and arrives to St Petes at 09.20am. The last train departs StPetes at 7pm or 8pm. You can have breakfast in the train's restaurant carriage. The best part is that the train... More

We just got back from Russia and Sapsan train would be one of our best experiences. The trains leave from Leningradsky station in Moscow to St. Petersburg. Punctuality and cleanliness are major features plus friendly staff. Though booking the train was a challenge, we couldn't get any credit card accepted on the government site. Then our hotel recommended Tutu.rz site... More
