The painted walls are beautiful but outside, they are not as well preserved as in Voronet. Free parking in front of the monastery.

If Voroneț Monastery is famous for blue, the background if this one is dominated by red-brown. The Judgement Day is similar with the one from Voroneț Monastery, expect the devil is depicted by a woman. In addition, I really liked the court yard and the tower. You can climb in the tower and have some amazing views. There are good... More

Humos Monastery is a beautiful architectural building with amaizing religious fresco. The Monastery grounds are enclosed by a stone wall and except the monastery is a stone guard tower and the remnants of a stone housing. The Monastery as seen in pictures is under reabilitation at this current time. The paintings are beautifull and contain a lot of information. I... More

The definitory element of this church is the defense tower built nearby, with its narrow stairs. This tower offers the turist an impressive view over the surrounding hills.

A must see if you are in the area. Especially the old tower. totally worth the difficult climb because once you're up there the view is breathtaking. The church is being now undergoing restoration with the help of the students from the Art Academy and I bet it will look brilliant once they finish. Great visit fro me and my... More

The monastery is well signposted from Guru Humorului and has a decent car park just down the road from it. We were charged 3 lei for parking from someone who had a ticket book but no idea if that is genuine! The monastery is beautiful, surrounded by rose gardens that are well tended. The nun at the entrance (the gate... More

We visited this monastery in the evening, and everything was nice and quiet. You have to climb into the tower located in the monastery garden - it is a great experience and the view leaves you breathless.
