Our four day bike tour in September was one of the best trips we ever have done. Szabi was such a nice guide. He made all our wishes true. We had the opportunity to experience the region from a different perspective as if we would have done it alone and only by car. We really thank Szabi for these great days.

At the last minute we found ourselves Romania with no car and not sure what to do. We found TransyBike and emailed them to see if they could organise us a self guided bike tour from Cluj. In just a day or so, we had a description of our tour, detailed maps and bikes ready to go! This was their very busy period too and they still managed to fit us in. Iancu who helped us and transferred us is just so lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Szabolcs got it all organised for us and even working late to make sure we were sorted. The route was BEAUTIFUL! We loved this tour and will definitely use TransyBike again.

This was by far the highlight of my group's visit to Romania. The bike tour was a great challenge and the pay off was huge. Breathtaking views, amazing guides, incredible hospitality...just one great day. We ended at this secluded spot for lunch and a swim in a mountain lake. It was the best end to a great day. Szabi, Thomas, and Ana were so kind and welcoming. Lunch was delicious. I went with a group of teenagers and their adult chaperones as part of a youth group trip. Our less experienced bike riders found this trip to be difficult, but our guides were patient and concerned with our success. I would recommend this whole-heartedly to anyone who wants a unique day trip. Nothing else like it!

Last year we visited Romania. Our trip lasted 12 days. We visited so many beautiful cities but since we are a family with 3 active kids ages 10, 13 and 14 our favorite tour was the bike tour in Cluj Napoca. We met our guide Thomash the day before at a local restaurant. He was very personal, respectful, polite, caring and love biking. He guided us in this amazing biking tour that went for about 28 kilometers. We never imagine that we were capable of biking this much. We went through the beautiful countryside in the region. Tomash was good at encouraging us to continue, and made sure that we were all doing well. He even brought typical Romanian chocolates that we ate during the break. After completing the bike ride we went on a hike over a small river and canyon walls with breathtaking views of The Valley. Then we ate a delicious lunch of fresh vegetables, Romanian ham, cheese and home made bread at a very sweet and caring old couple’s house in the countryside. The lady made the fresh lunch for us while the husband gave our children a tour of their stable with different animals as well as their garden. We love our overall experience. The biking tour was definitely the highlight of our trip to Romania.

I was in Cluj for an anthropological film festival / conference and Szabolcs went above and beyond to tailor a ride that would fit my busy schedule. I ended up doing a 50km ride and it was unbelievably amazing! I went for a ride with Tamás and in addition to having great knowledge of Transylvania and its history, he was so friendly I felt like I was out for a ride with on old friend. The bike and helmet was in excellent condition. If I am ever back in Cluj I will definitely go out for another tour.
