Transylvania is famous for the historical landmarks that shape its legends, but it can be difficult to tick off its highlights in a day. Travel with ease to dispersed and diverse locations, including Medias, Biertan, and Sighisoara, and gain insight into the historic churches, citadels, and local communities from your professional guide on a private tour of the region. Relax after a day’s sightseeing with hotel pickup and drop-off included.

Probably would need to get here by car from Cluj. An outside museum of a range of historic mainly rural buildings including several beautifully carved wooden churches, one with painted interior frescoes on wood. All the more enjoyable on a beautiful autumn day. Interestingly the site was being prepared to stage an obstacle/strength competition. Which I'm sure some would disagree with. But actually I can imagine would be a lovely day out and would be lovely to see people on the site.

Centrally-located in Cluj, this museum is open Wednesdays to Sundays. It’s up on the second floor and is well organized in areas of crafts and work activities. I particularly liked the final exhibit of the traditional clothes from specific valleys and villages, showing quite a variety. While we were there, a LEGO’s special exhibit was being shown. Note that there is a great gift shop on the first floor but you might have to ask to have it opened. In this gift shop are some handmade clothes from a hundred years ago. Could be a perfect gift! I bought a mohair scarf which I truly treasure. Also note that the Tourist Information Bureau is downstairs.

This museum isn't big and it is interesting if you are interested to see rural items, traditional clothes, etc. Otherside you can also skip it. I have to say that an area of the museum was under renovation, for sure it would be more completed with that. entry costs 6 lei and you can't take pictures but if you pay 5 lei more you can take pictures.
