We are sorry that we didn't have time to enter or to attend some shows but the building from the outside is beautiful and a must see place

This centennial+ building just downtown is emblematic for Cluj; decidedly it should be renovated inside, but outside looks well. Nice opera and theater shows; unfortunately closed in summertime.

Highly recommend this place for theatre lovers but not only as the Theatre stage hosts also ballet, opera, dance and other forms or art. The building itself is of great architectural and historical value.

This place was built mere than 100 years ago by Fellner und Helmer, the Austrian architect who built many important theaters in Europe. It is an elegant place, a bit dusty, yet it struggles to engage a younger audience, by holding modern events.

The tickets for the shows are immediately sold out and for a good reason: it's fantastic. If you're in Cluj go check this out. I recommand "Ultima noapte de dragoste, intaia noapte de razboi" by Camil Petrescu
