Daniel was our tour guide. He is very knowlegeable, attentive and kind. When i first reached out to him, He is highly responsive in both email and calls. Our trip is customisable to the activities we like and daniel drives us around, suggesting the best route to accommodate all our wishes. He is very attentive and detail oriented. When we suggested to do dog sledding, he checks the weather and manages our expectations. We were very lucky that the weather was great and he found a dog sledding company that takes great care of the dog. He also lend us extra heat warmers, water proof pants and equipment to make sure we stay warm enough. Did plenty of day trips from sibiu and thanks to Daniel’s recommendations we went to some of the best restaurants. He also shuffled around our itinerary so that it makes sense based on distance and weather for the best view/photo. Everything was well prepared yet flexible. We also learnt a lot about the history and nuggets of information through him. One of the best tour guides I’ve met in my years of traveling. Always punctual and reliable, he takes plenty of initiatives without us seeking for it- we can’t ask for more. Highly recommended!!

My husband and I just completed a private tour of Romania with Daniel Rosca of Via Transylvania/True Romania, and we highly recommend him and his companies. Daniel himself is very competent, intelligent and knowledgeable—a walking encyclopedia of Romanian history. He arranged the logistics for us so that everything took place flawlessly. His expertise enabled him to rearrange extemporaneously to avoid crowds, closures, and any other obstacles that arose. This made our trip far more relaxing than if we had tried to arrange it all on our own. He chose a wonderful variety of hotels for us and suggested restaurants that were tasty and reasonably priced. He inquired about and was responsive to our preferences all along the way. Daniel is even-tempered with a good sense of humor. His car is clean and comfortable. As a bonus, he took great pictures of us!

I really loved our tour in Transylvania. We had an excellent guide who always shared a lot of history about the places we went to visit. This gave us a better experience when visiting a place. I liked the combinations of historic cities, castles and nature. I feel I have seen and experienced Transylvania in the best way. We had the best authentic places for traditional Romanian dishes.
I definitely recommend this tour.

This is not just a tourist tour. Daniel makes it a real exploratory experience, a true study tour. Thanks to his stories and insights you can learn what Romania really is. He does a perfect selection of places to visit, sightsee and eat. He's flexible and able to adjust (to a reasonable extent) to the preferences or wishes of the tour participants. I really enjoyed visiting Romania!

Travelled for a little over two weeks, from the northern most mountain villages, zigzagging south to Bucharest. We were a small group of diverse people with a shared passion for photography. Daniel was a wonderful ambassador for his country as he showed us everyday life of the colourful Romanian people. He brought the country to life with his insights into daily life and the places he arranged for us to stay and eat. What a fantastic experience awaits you if you book with his company!

We decided to visit Transylvania but it was a bit challenging so we asked for help and luckily we found this agency located in Arad- Via Transylvania.
I can't say in words how nice, efficient and professional they were from the beginning to the end.
We were looking for a special experience in Romania and also for a well organized tour which we were so fortunate to find with Daria, Daniel and our guide Iulian.
All went smooth and we could enjoy and transform a difficult tour in a pleasant experience considering how much we visited in just 4 days starting from Timisoara and ending in Brasov.
We had everything we needed- a lovely guide, all time to spend as we wanted, excellent accommodation included in the price of tour and wonderful memories at the end.
I can't recommend more this travel agency.
Romania is a fascinating country. There is so much to explore and see whatever you like- landscapes, history, folklore, culture. You can get it all in one with Via Transylvania and I can't wait to book our next tour with them.

My student daughter and I enjoyed 12 days in Romania organized by Damaris at Via Transylvania.

We spent a few weeks organising and fine-tuning our trip. We had some ideas and Damaris made suggestions based on our interests.

We had a wonderful time. Everything was really well organized – train tickets, taxis, hotels and suggestions for restaurants. We started in Bucharest, travelled by train to Sighisoara, walked for a few days in Saxon Transylvania - staying in the fortified villages, then went with a car and guide to Maramures and Bucovina in the north, before returning by train to Bucharest. It was a good combination of independent travel with professional back-up. Gorgeous wildflower meadows all over Transylvania and we loved the village homestays with their delicious home cooking. The Museum to the Victims of Communism was an unexpectedly moving and intense experience in an old prison in Sighetu Marmatei. Everybody dressing up for church in the villages on Sunday was an unexpected delight. It was a really varied and interesting holiday.

We had a great experience with Daria at True Romania Tours who planned our four-day, self-driving tour of Bucovina and Matamares. Her attention to detail and follow-up are reflected in the 58 emails we exchanged. She was genuinely concerned about making sure we had the sightseeing and lodging experience that we wanted. She continued to check in to make sure things were going okay with our appointments during the trip. We had a wonderful time and were delighted with Daria’s planning. We would definitely work with her and True Romania Tours again!

We just returned from a family roots trip throughout Transylvania, following our family's historic journey. We contacted Daniel a few months prior to the trip, and worked closely with him on our list of towns. Daniel was most courteous throughout the process, and often provided us information about the communities we were interested in visiting. Once we arrived in Romania, Daniel worked diligently to make sure we were fulfilled by our visits to every location. The hotels he found were not only conveniently situated by the center of towns, but also well equipped. Daniel lined up gourmet restaurants for us to visit (with many vegetarian options) which we would not have found otherwise. He often took us on small, unknown roads on top of mountains to explore the beauty of Romania. At times our itinerary changed due to an interest in visiting a synagogue or cemetery, and Daniel was perfectly accommodating. His knowledge, flexibility, warmth and kind manner make Daniel the perfect guide. We will be back visiting Romania soon!

From my initial brief to completion Daniel matched every need with a superb location, fascinating experience, wonderful food and captivating locals.

The knowledge of the country customs and local contacts that Daniel has are second to none, he surprised me every day .

What's more surprising still is his love of fine ice cream - which is better than some of his jokes.

Seriously though if you are looking for a personal tour tailored to your exact needs with incredible attention to detail then Look no further

Thank you Daniel
