The grounds here are lovely and worth exploring before going to the main building to see the introductory movie which is very interesting. The gift shop has beautiful and pricey furniture, dishes, and other decorative items which are fun to look at. I got lucky and found some sale items I could afford ! Don't miss a tour of the... While MacKenzie Childs is not my taste as it is pricy and over the top, but I did appreciate a visit to the store and workshop. I would highly recommend stopping when in this area of the Finger Lakes.

This is my second visit to MC. Gorgeous dishes, furniture, rugs, and more. Loved the house that your can tour all decorated in MC. Also loved the entrance to the shop, with beautiful flowers, planters and interesting seating.

My wife had gotten a piece of their pottery few years ago as a gift. She had head about the factory and store, so as we were up in town for a family wedding, we decided to go on the morning of. We got up early and drove up the lake to get there at the opening. We were there... More

Wasn't really sure what to expect, not being Familiar with this company. The majority of items had a checkerboard design. There was a lot to look at, however the prices were outrageous for the normal shoppers. Nothing suited our tastes, but it was interesting to just look around. Sales staff was friendly though.

Upon driving north on the Eastern shore of Cayuga Lake in The Finger Lake region of New York State is the quaint village of Aurora. There are no signs indicating directions to Mackenzie-Child's Pottery Barn. The grounds are on an old dairy farm, restored to pristine and manicured gardens prior to entering the retail shop. If any of you know,... More

When my friend and I walked thru the arch and into the garden courtyard, we felt as if we could sit there all day and read a book; so peaceful and serene! We visited the shop, enjoyed the wonderfully detailed dollhouse; even found the restrooms quite a decorator's delight. Then we walked on the grounds ... how delightful, relaxing, beautiful... More

I'm not really into MC furnishings, they are a little over-the-top for my taste (to say nothing of the price tags!). But the grounds of this place are beautiful and well worth the visit for anyone who enjoys perennial gardens, rolling hills, and views of Cayuga Lake. The tour of the house was also enjoyable, each room stuffed to the... More

We were visiting friends and they wanted to take us here. My wife thought it would be fun, I wasn't sure what to expect. The store didn't do much for me, it was just another store. The grounds with the gardens and the animals made for a pleasant walk on a beautiful day. The highlight and really interesting portion of... More

For any Mackenzie Child's fan, this is a must do event. I've loved MC for many years, and this event was unbelievable. While they have tons of their stuff in the sale, be prepared for very long lines to get in and long lines to pay.
