Overpriced golf course and terrible food

The golf course is very flat and not challenging at all. The ground of tee box is super hard and it is nearly impossible to put your tee in. The quality of caddie is low. I shared... read more

The golf course is very flat and not challenging at all. The ground of tee box is super hard and it is nearly impossible to put your tee in. The quality of caddie is low. I shared a buggy with my husband, my caddie squeezed in the buggy as a driver. YES, three of us sitting on the same buggy... More

Was invited to dinner here by a member. Located off Banilad Road, a bit past and on the same side of the road as Crossroads, on the way to Banilad. Waited for a bit in the lobby area, which apparently is also home to numerous hungry mosquitos. The restaurant (coffee shop style) was ok, but nothing particularly memorable. Did not... More

The Cebu Country Club is a private proprietary club located in Banilad, Cebu City. Although a private membership club, it is also open to guests and tourists.

Cebu Country Club does not disappoint. After all these years, it still is a place for good food, a good swim or several good swings in the greens. It is still the same welcoming place with warm and friendly staff and the same consistent service that members and guests have enjoyed over the years.

Place looks dark and old. Food is terrible. I ordered spaghetti marinara, it was soggy, not al dente, and there was raw bell pepper and celery in it which was gross. The tomato base tasted like it came out straight from the cheapest canned tomato sauce available. I ordered medium rare steak as well and just by the looks of... More

Cebu Country Club has a nice golf course. We were given hire clubs, shoes and caddies. It was very pricey but it was good to do at least once.

I've see other golf country clubs that are old, but still feel and look grand. Cebu country club's facilities look old, and feel old. Golf course is ok, nothing impressive, nothing challenging. A more challenging course would be in alta vista. The last time i was there was to attend a party, and the caddies was on strike for the... More

If you're looking for high-end golf courses and are used to what is available in Asia, this is not the place for you. The course layout is average, the upkeep is so-so and the clubhouse and amenities are below average. The rented clubs were terrible -- wasn't even a complete set -- it was random clubs that were many, many... More
