Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral is has a very conducive place for prayers. It has hourly masses were pilgrims can offer daily mass suited to their schedules.

The Cathedral is not that big though it shows a glimpse of Cebu's heritage. It is not far from the Basilca of Sto. Nino. Unlike the Basilica, the streets surrounding this church are muddy and smelly so one has to be careful where one steps getting out of the jeep.

The Cebu Cathedral is also known in Cebu aside from the Sto Nino Basilica, It is just near with each other so why don't you visit it too.

This impressive church looks to me even bigger than the Santo Nino church and maybe as it is a cathedral it appears more grandiose.

The cathedral only took a few minutes to look inside and I was ready to move on. As it is close to the Basilica, it... More

Since this is a Catholic country it was nice to see one of their older churches. Very old and spiritual, worth the walk if you want to spend a bit of time seeing the local folks.

We went there around 5:30 pm, its almost dark and we really wanted to take a photo with the church as the background. When we set the camera up we thought that it captured our photo but surprisingly it did not. The camera started to capture photos on its own even if no one was hitting the shutter. Its really... well maintained historical and religious place; the church could do better to help the vendors and mendicants around rather than to collect donations for 'church beautification'; just my two cents.
