We've been here with my colleagues last 19th last Month and stayed for a couple of days. From the reservation going to the check-in until checkout they ask if we need a taxi cab going the airport. The room is clean and you don't need to go outside to check with pasalubong since its already downstairs. The staff is very accommodating specifically the manager if I'm not mistaken her name is Donna, she is one of a kind and very hospitable despite of her multitask work as noticed.

Overall we satisfied our stay and hoping for another stay soon.

The quality of Shamrock Otap today is not any more the same as it was before. Today, the taste is no better than any ordinary otap you can buy in a cheap bakery. I think it's overrated and way overpriced. Because it's from Cebu, so it becomes pricey. There are many better and cheaper options you can get some where.

We dropped by at Shamrock during our city tour and excitedly bought a big bag of otap as it is cheaper there than in an Island Souvenir shop where we went to earlier. Finding out that the otap's price is cheaper here, we also thought that other non-Shamrock products might also be cheaper if not reasonably priced. So we also bought a lot of dried mangoes, butter scotch, peanut browas and piaya here, for fear also that we may not have the time and chance to buy these products after the city tour. But we were saddened to find out that the non-Shamrock brand products we bought from Shamrock is a lot cheaper in SM supermarket and SM Store snack exchange as well as in the supermarket of another mall. These other brand products are cheaper by at least Php 10.00 - 30.00 while Shamrock products at SM is higher by Php 3.00 - 5.00 only. So I would suggest that when buying Cebu food products, it's best to go in SM supermarket or at the snack exchage of the SM Store.

This pasalubong center is an institution in the city. It's quite old (as you can see from its structure), but it offers you the best of typically Cebuano and budget friendly pasalubong. This is where I buy dried mangoes, cashew and peanut products, chicharron, otap, and so forth. They don't have souvenir products like t-shirts, magnets, mugs, key chains, etc. You can buy these from other shops. But if all you're after are take-home chichirrias, then Shamrock is your best shot. They sell them at a much lower price compared to other stores. This center is conveniently located in the city center at Mabini St. corner Vicente Gullas St., just a walking distance from Cebu's metropolitan cathedral.

Staff at the till were rude.
We had two senior citizens with us asked if they give discounts but the staff rudely pointed to their printed guides posted by the wall. Telling us that only basic commodities are given that discount. But they sell food which is also a basic need.
In addition, they switched immediately from English to Cebuano dialect during our transaction with strong intonation. This is unacceptable behaviour!!!
I hope the management will do something about this. I will certainly tell my colleagues and staff in the United Kingdom/Europe and relatives in the USA to avoid this branch/store.

I'm a big fan of Cebu's Otap, and love to try out all the different brands, including this leading one. The store focus is on pasalubong - purchasing tap and other baked and dried fruit type goods as gifts for friends and family. Along with otap they offer hojaldres, galletas de huevo, baked polvoron, lady’s finger, patatas, rosquillos and other baked specialties such as raisin bread, potato bread, pan de sal and meatroll. You can even pick up a simple meal and take a seat in this well-situated store. They have an additional 4 other stores in the Cebu City and Mandaue area. Good snacks, even if you;re not giving away.

That is the brand which got the name already. Good quality and nice packaging. I was guided by a friend former classmate during my college days in Cebu. She brought me to the source, the Shamrock maker. I can not follow where we were passing which street but i was lucky to have her guiding me. I did bought way cheaper than the outlets.

Shamrock is still the best otap in the city. if you are looking for Native delicacies this is where you should go, but the piaya is quite expensive as compared to bong bongs

The products are a little bit pricey compared to similar products of the same quality sold in other regions like in Mindanao. They have no carton packaging for different quantities. They only have one super large carton which is very disappointing if you can buy or bring only few items.

Generally cheaper and fresher products than those sold in supermarkets and other outlets. A wide selection of well known delicacies. Can’t go wrong.
