This place just plain rocks! Good food, great music, drinks are more
than reasonable. Non smoking environment (separate enclosed listening area for smokers), means you dont come out of this place smelling like an ash tray. A couple of bands I heard played a solid hour and a half non stop high energy get you off your seat loads of fun music.
Put this on your list of things to do.

It was our first time and we had a great time! My husband loves 80's songs and we just came to the right place. The band was so good. The crowd was dancing and having so much fun. The food is pricey but all worth the fun. My husband wants to come back and we sure will. 😁

The atmosphere was lively. The band plays well. I’m in my early 40s but I felt out of place there. The crowd seems to be like 50s 60s. I won’t say it’s no good.. it all depends on your age group.

We used to frequent this before. So when my business associates from Austria arrived , I decided to try this place again since it was okay before . But the parking here is hellish. Took us awhile before we illegally parked on the other side of the street. Once inside , it was a little quiet , despite all the cars parked outside. Menu hasn't changed, still limited. Servers ignored us numerous times . Crowd seems to be more of the lower class now ( just assuming ) . We left after 30 minutes . Not recommended anymore

I can’t believe this place is still standing out very well despite the number of years it’s been in business. Well it’s the only one left standing amongst the best bars my friends and I have patronized since the 90’s.
Perfect pairing to have two great bands together in one night: Authority and Route 70. You can sing and dance the night away despite the tight standing room crowd.
Though our servers had very little room to wiggle in with their trays, they still found some space to bring you your drinks or food. The crowd were just as awesome.
If you want to loosen up a bit and simply have fun, this is a must go place to check out when in town!

Went Strumm’s on a Monday night. Arrived at about 9pm and all the tables on the ground level were reserved. Ended up at the upper level. The waiter who attended to us all night, Joey, his service was par excellence. Always with a smile and never hurried. He brought a cup of hot water when he noticed that my wife’s green tea had finished.
Food was so-so. Nothing to gloat about.
The music on Monday night by the 8 Tracks was superb. Never missed a beat, very entertaining and the band leader (wish I had gotten his name) was very accommodating. He played anything that was asked of him. And as an added bonus, we had the pleasure of listening to Eladio Pamaran sing on stage. No airs about him. All in, a great night!!

Strumm's is a retro bar popular with the Manila crowd and expatriates that has live band music every day of the week except Sundays. From jazz to disco and rock, the bands have their own following from the urban professionals to groups having reunions.

It is located along busy Jupiter Street in Makati, a little over a kilometer from the central business district. Parking is a challenge as they only have a few slots in front of their building, but there is a valet service for a small fee which will get your car parked on a nearby street.

There is a strict no-slippers dress code - one of the groups I was with was turned away once because somebody was wearing slippers. But we have been able to bring guests in and they were wearing casual shorts and walking sandals.

There is a cover charge of about Php 400 - which is consumable and a reasonable amount for a few beers or finger foods like nachos. The more of you in the group, the better the deal because you can order margaritas and mojitos by the pitcher which comes out cheaper than individual servings.

The band performs in one of the corners by the stage, and in front is a dance floor. Patrons also dance upstairs on the loft overlooking the stage as the acoustics are good enough to be heard throughout the establishment.

This is a highly recommended venue to visit primarily for the live music but the food and drinks are also good enough and reasonably priced.

I first went to Strumm's in July of 2014 with friends. The minute I heard the bands that were playing I was in the groove. On Saturday you can hear two amazing bands. Mulato and Band In Heat. Both of these bands will impress you.

Mulato is an amazing cover band that has yet to be stumped by requests. Led by Joey B this band boasts 3 amazing singers. Anna, and JT and Joey B. You have to hear them to know just how good these guys are. I suggest checking out Mulato on You Tube.

Then there is Band In Heat. The Lead Singer is Cecille and she is a Tina Turner on Fire! The energy and performance she puts into these sets is just contagious. I guarantee you will have fun at Strumm's

Heard the band Authority play, 80's and 90's... this place rocks... Juan Miguel Salvador... love him.. sounds and everything perfect!!... However, the inserted this other band and in my opinion, nobody stayed for the second band.

Food is ok and we just had beer.

Authority kept us dancing around our table and they played, Queen, Devo..etc.

Had a great time, just wish that they played all night instead of adding the second band.. don't know their name but they had all kinds of characters in the second band. One girl dressed in blue skimpy outfit where she looks like she belongs in a strip club instead of a group band.

I would recommend this place to my friends. When I go back to the Philippines, I will definitely go back.
