The 'mother of all parks' in Baguio city, the summer capital of the Philippines, is a 32.84-hectare park designed by, and named after, American architect and urban planner Daniel Hudson Burnham, who also designed the original plan for Baguio City as well as Dewey Boulevard (now Roxas Boulevard) in Manila. The park has 12 main areas, the most popular of which are the Burnham Lagoon, a man-made lake with rowboats for hire; a children's playground; a skating rink; the Rose Garden and the Picnic Grove.

If you have seen Burnham about twenty years ago, it has changed a lot to be a commercial park rather than a relaxing one. The car traffic around it is almost unbearable without traffic aides to assist. Half the park is crowded and a lo...More

The highlight of our visit here was biking around the park. It was really fun. We also enjoyed watching groups doing Zumba. And oh, don't miss to try boating around the lake.

We spent a couple of hours strolling in the park, enjoying a 30 min boat ride and eating raw mangoes. A great spot for kids and children alike especially during great weather.

I am saddened on how dirty the place was during our Holiday Visit! I wish people would be more considerate on their surroundings! They made the place into a trash island! Please plant more trees! Please plant more flowers!
