The 'mother of all parks' in Baguio city, the summer capital of the Philippines, is a 32.84-hectare park designed by, and named after, American architect and urban planner Daniel Hudson Burnham, who also designed the original plan for Baguio City as well as Dewey Boulevard (now Roxas Boulevard) in Manila. The park has 12 main areas, the most popular of which are the Burnham Lagoon, a man-made lake with rowboats for hire; a children's playground; a skating rink; the Rose Garden and the Picnic Grove.

I guess, the hype about the park was exaggerated. We tried rowing along the murky lake of the park, which is a very tourist thing to do. Not very impressed by it but it is must go if you go to baguio. So, you still have to go. Maybe you will enjoy it more that I did.

If one is in need of a local guide I recommend this park. It is named after the city's planner, Daniel Burnham . Apart of the various plants, trees and flowers this park offers row boats, rented skates, children playground and other sport activities.

This park is a breath of fresh air from the city's stressing environment. And you can relax and rest for a while. But security's too tight. You can't even take a quick nap for a few minutes. And the boat's too expensive. But anyway, the park's too great.

If you ever go to Baguio, you will go through Burnham Park, especially if you love to walk around cities. There are a variety of things to do and things to buy during the day and at the night market as well. I don't have much to say about it because once you get there, and take a walk around,... More

Burnham Park is a place where different activities are done through different attractions. The place is well-maintained and flowers are also around the place. Various areas with great views are also available for your remembrance picture in Baguio. Comfort rooms and stalls are also in the area. I have enjoyed the boat ride most of all.

Despite the rain when we visited Baguio, we still wanted to bring the kids to Burnham Park, just to see the place. It was raining hard, but there were merchants inviting us to take the boat rides.

I remembered, My dad used to bring us here when we were kids.. the park is so clean before, the grasses are greener and the flowers are in bloom. Now, the local government had reconstructed it, the rose garden was already completed and fountain are already built. Many tourists are now gathering in this place whenever the Panagbenga festival is... More

The 'mother of all parks' in the Summer Capital of the Philippines, almost as familiar to Filipinos as Luneta Park in Manila is, all other developments like the city's business center

Baguio by Land The road trip to Baguio is just as pleasurable as the destination itself, particularly upon entering La Union province where the rolling plains presently a very pleasant array of shades of green and yellow. The gentle sloping hills are thick with foliage from trees of great variety – a perfect site for any Hollywood movie that needs... More

We went there friday morning, not that crowded during that time, we enjoyed the boat ride, the cool weather. There's a lot of boat to choose from. We choose the plain big boat since we are a group of 4. Rate is 150, if you'll be the who will row your boat and 200 if you want your personal rower.
