Interesting.

Interesting place which has artefacts from a lot of different cultures from both different eras and locations in Peru. We'll worth a visit.

This museum is worth visiting to give you an overview of the different pre-Inca cultures that existed in this area of the Northern Coast. But it's much more interesting and worthwhile to visit the sites themselves if you have the time.

This is a small museum featuring Pre-Colombian artifacts from the various Peruvian civilizations. They are laid out chronologically starting with the Vicus. There are a lot of examples of Moche, Chimu and Nazca items. There was an interesting exhibit of ceramics with a medical theme when I visited the museum in early December. However, the exhibits are dimly lit and... More

I really enjoyed this museum although you do need to speak Spanish or have a guide to fully appreciate the exhibits. They give you a little leaflet in English where you buy the ticket but it only has the summary text for each room and not the fine details.

The Moche ceramics are very plastic and are the main source for our knowledge about the culture, together with the discovered friezes. On display are also some wooden and stone sculptures.

The casa is a real charmer. Murals of Venice decorate the courtyard walls. The dioramas are sweetly homemade looking, but very accessible for school kids and the ceramics as good as you will see at Lorca. It is the only museo that gives a broad view of the lives of the ordinary people as opposed to the war and death... More

We liked it. What a fabulous courtyard. Accessible layout and good contextualisation but you really need a guide to tell you the difference between the Moche and the Chimu pots and the relevance of their iconography. Pop in and have a pisco sour after. Particularly good if you are visiting Chan Chan and the Huecos del Sol y Luna -... More

Museum is in a colonial house; well displayed exhibits (most of the info is in Spanish). Small museum store.

We took break from the hot sun and toured this small musem. There is a lot of beautiful artifacts, explainations in both Spanish/English. They also offer wifi here, which is somewhat hard to find in Trujillo.
