I wasn't expecting to catch the sights I did, it's so scenic! worth the walk, my mom (72 year-old lady with surgery on her leg) was able to go all the way to the top, at a slow pace but it was possible. I'd advice you to make your best to get to the top cuz it's worth it! About... More

The island itself does not offer much, but the view you get when you climb all the way to the top is amazing. However, it is a hard climb up and a hard climb down at 4,000 meters above sea level. Be warned. You could probably go one third of the way up and get a very similar view. If... More

Great to spend the night with local family, so friendly and the location is great (amazing spot to see stars and moon rise). Funny party at night with the locals.

We visited with the Titicaca express the Taquile island. It was quite an experience to see the live of a community of 2000 people with an own language and culture. The excellent guide explained very clearly their habits, their way of living and the way they use their clothing to express their status.

Ukumari Expeditions organized our lunch and trek across the island. There was a festival as well so the timing was perfect!

Nice island to visit and take some breathtaking pictures of Titicaca Lake. There are some restaurants that you can have lunch for 20 soles enjoying an awesome view of the lake. Also, they have many handmade clothes in the island but, in my opinion, they seemed to have worst quality than alpaca made clothes and a much higher price.

We did not know what to expect, but this island was great. Mir has beautiful views, families living on it, nice paths up and down the islands. Great place for a few hours.
