Amazing statues and lots of information

The passage is a long one, full of amazingly made statues along a timeline of Lambayeque. Each period of the timeline starts with an informative stone tablet that gives a general review about Lambayeque at this period and each of the statues is accompanied with an explanation - the crafts, the figures, the gods...after the statues comes a part of long murals along the walls of the street. This passage gives a lot of information about the region and about the Mochica and the Lambayeque cultures.

Great place to know a bit more about Mochica culture. The statues are well designed and the view is fantastic. You can go there with kids but careful with the thieves. Great place to visit!

So much great work and uncared for

What a display of sculpture and statuary incorporating some of the local history of moche, lambayeque, and more. Sadly, it is poorly maintained and the grass was so high you'd be amazed. Some vandals have starting breaking panels and there's trash everywhere. Still, impressive but makes you wonder if they have any pride in their heritage or city.

This is a history and mythological tour of the Moche and Chiclayo area told by huge statues of mythical monsters and gods of the area. Really interesting and it takes about 20-30 minutes to walk thru it.

Visit the Señor de Sipan museum first and get to know the pre Inca culture of the region. Then take half an hour to walk down this street and admire the fabulous statues that bring the old mythology to life. Do not miss!

Nice and informative

Someone wrote this is best thing to do in Chiclayo, I can not agree more. This is a peatonal road adorned with large figures of Lambayeque gods, semi gods and tales with descriptions of each. The figures are from the findings at the sites near lambayeque, Tucume etc. It takes 30 mins to see all, you'll be surprised about the imagination of old Lambayeque people.

BEST thing to do in the city

A super cool history 3-D history lesson. I´ve been to Chiclayo a couple times, visited the museums, read of the various gods belonging to the old cultures. But the sculpture and gardens of this little trek are awesome! And there are informational (Spanish) signs to teach you about it.

In addition to the statues, there is a gorgeous, huge concrete mural at the one end of the walk. It´s an amazing representation of Peru´s coastal history, definitely worth visiting. I can´t think of anything I´d recommend more to kill time in Chiclayo.
