It is not easy to get to this museum and it is advisable to call ahead to see if it is open. One drives through large fields planted with soya beans. We also passed isolated hamlets with indigenous people. Beautiful children were playing near the road. We were fortunate as we were the only group visiting the museum at the time. Thus we had a wonderful and enthusiastic guide Ms. Bianca Soares, the Park Ranger. It is a bit of a walk from the parking lot and information center but they will let you drive the car if you have problem walking. The house, now a museum, is relatively small and one can only wonder how Moises Bertoni, his wife and many children could live there. The view of the river from the back of the home is breathtaking. A cemetery, were the family is buried is just a short walk from the museum. Bertoni’s legacy is astonishing and I urge you to familiarize yourself about his extensive research. The Museum is definitely worth a visit.

A very important place from the historic point of view. But unfortunately not well taken care off. Hope they do some work on it and bring it to International standards. Also i feel it needs a bit of marketing.
