Guna Yala Explorer exceeded my expectations! Communication was prompt and answered the many questions I had. Joel and Osiris arrived on time for pick up. The island was beautiful with very calm turquoise waters. During the boat ride to the island, you’ll get a chance to pass by other islands and communities. Our lunch (fried fish) was delicious. We relaxed on the beach, in the water, a post-lunch nap on the hammock, then back in the water. During our visit, overnight stay wasn’t allowed yet due to COVID restrictions but I was able to check out the beautiful cabins. Thanks so much to the Guna Yala community for giving us the opportunity to visit their island and to Guna Yala Explorer for making it happen. Highly recommended! Can’t wait to visit again.

I was not sure I would enjoy this trip because it is such a long day but it was the best day ever and I am so glad I went with Guna Yala. Because of the carnival holiday I was picked up at 430 to miss the traffic. They make sure to make the most of your experience so you will leave happy. The islands are possibly the most beautiful I have ever been to and the food was the best I have had on an island tour. All the drivers and guides were excellent. I am so appreciative for the driver (Alexander) that he gets up before 4 am and doesn't get home until after dinner, and drives that route everyday so that we can experience the beauty of the San Blas islands. Thanks for a wonderful day!

The most beautiful secluded islands I have ever seen. The staff and the locals were friendly and helpful. Lunch was provided and it was really good. The Natural swimming pool was awesome. We jumped off the boat in the middle of the ocean and snorkeled in the beautiful clear water. It was Awesome. Thank you to our Tour guide Karin and the captain who got us around safely in the rough waters.

We did the day tour with a private transportation from Panama City to San Blas and shared boat tour. We were picked up at 5:30 am from our hotel, the 4c4 SUV was in very good condition and very clean. The driver and English speaking tour guide were very friendly and were giving us a very good time. The way to the boat takes just over 2 hours. The 1st hour is on a good road, 2nd hour is on a paved road that has many curves and large pot holes. It’s a beautiful ride through the hills and jungle, our 8 year old felt a bit sick from that ride but this should not be a big concern especially if you ask the driver not to go very fast. The bumpy and wet part of getting to the islands is the boat ride. These boats are not very large and the sea can be rough. The winds are constantly blowing which causes waves, the day we visited was very windy with high waves. This means we got totally splashed wet on the boat ride. especially when sitting at the back as these boats as these boats don’t have any cover on the sides of the boat. Also bear in mind that getting on and off the boat is not done on an easy walk in style dock. There is an element of climbing on/off that could be challenging. The boat tour has 3 stops, main stop is in a small beautiful island (300 feet long by 50 feet wide) where you can swim/ relax and they serve a light lunch there as well. The second stop is on a “natural” pool in the middle of the sea (it’s not an island!). The third stop is on the island where the Netflix show “money heist” was filmed. Overall the islands are wonderful and his company is a good choice. Just take into account over 2 hours drive to each direction plus 40min boat ride in each direction, totaling almost 6 travel hours to visit this paradise in one day!
