Great food, average snorkeling
May 2021 • Couples
Went here on a tour. Had lunch at Jasmine's. Was an excellent meal. Huge portions. We shared the fish in garlic sauce and two beers. $20.
Snorkeling was OK, most coral is bleached, a few nice formations and good amount of small to medium fish. Current was fairly strong. Boat captain tried to stay in the same place instead of floating with current along the reef. Made for a long swim back.

Best place for snorkeling (and that's it)
Apr 2019 • Couples
There is no beach, no options for storing backpacks.

There is only 1 restaurant, a bar with basic cocktails and beers.

This is the place for snorkeling (you can rent equipment for a small fee), eating something and leave after a couple of hours.

Food is average.

If there is too much tours it can get really crowed.

Ask the bartender to surprise you with his specialty cocktail. The food is great. Wish I tried the lobster but oh well, another reason to come back. Clear water, perfect for snorkeling and some amazing pictures. Perfect for vloggers and IG models to show off their lifestyle.

Terrific Snorkeling!
Dec 2018 • Couples
This is a gorgeous snorkeling spot. Go first thing in the morning as it gets very crowded during the day and the boats park on some of the best spots. Buffered from big waves and nice clear water. Saw more coral here than snorkeling in Aruba, USVI, Florida keys. Typical tropical fishes. Not many big fish, though.

Great Restaurant
Jul 2018 • Solo
Great little restaurant. Food is decent, the drinks are good. Prices are, meh. There is okay snorkeling just offshore. The reef looks bleached and dead to me, but it was better than nothing. Was here for lunch ad and a quick swim.

Short pit stop
Jun 2018 • Friends
We booked a day tour of the beautiful islands and cays of the Bocas del Toro Archipelago. Normally, I am not the biggest fan of organized sightseeing, but it was worth every minute and penny.

We stopped at Crawl Cay, a large reef with much coral, for refreshments before the short 15-20 minute boat road back to the main island.

By this time, I was exhausted from playing in the strong sun for hours. Although Crawl Cay was lovely, I was too exhausted to dip in the serene water and wished we spent a longer time in Cayo Zapatilla.

Instead, I parked myself in a lounge chair since the hammocks were occupied and gazed at the jewelled aquamarine sea in Northwest Panama. Another time, I will return for longer to explore the Cay and the marine life.

ok restaurant, ok snorkeling
Jan 2017 • Family
Most of the boats who go there seem to drop their anchors and as a result the coral is pretty much all dead. We snorkeled there along with about 5 other boats who happened to be there at the same time. There really wasn't much to see - I'm not sure what the fuss was about.

Fun stop to break up your Panga ride
Oct 2016
On a Panga tour of the islands, we stopped here for a photo op/ cocktail. This tiny cay has a bar and several photo spots with island backdrops that are amazing. The cocktails are just so so, and the prices are a bit above Bocas average, however the money is in the backdrop..

its a good spot to stop. You place your order and come back. But the food is not that good for the price.
