The 3- hour tour was very informative and we learned a lot about coffee, Boquete and Panama in general. Carlos was very friendly and answered all our questions. The only downside was that we only got to drink minimal sips of 3 different coffees in...More

Carlos, the local tour guide, gives a good insight into the growing of coffee plants and the processing of it. He did so in a very entertaining way engaging his audience. Overall a great experience that ended with coffee tasting at their cafe.

I went on three coffee tours in Boquete. This was by far the best. A complete tour from the agricultural end to the industrial side. Plus they make you feel valued.

Carlos is the perfect person to be the Tour Guide because of his long employment with Ruiz, his mastery of English, his knowledge about coffee and his personality. The tour starts and ends at the cafe in town. In between, we ride with Carlos to...More

My wife and I stopped into Cafe Ruiz for a coffee and snack on our way into Boquete. The coffee was amazing but we were both really disappointed in the lack of choices for pastries/snacks.

It's a nice place to spend some time. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all questions as well as expound on some things about coffee.

Yes, as long as they enough to fill the tour van, we were told (we had 5 of us on our tour). If the weather was too rainy/dangerous (as you do walk around amongst the coffee bean trees it might be cancelled).
