I just returned from the flower festival held in Medellin, Colombia. The trip was led by Oscar Pena who knows the city and the country like the back of his hand. The hotel was in a great neighborhood with interesting shops and easy access to many restaurants. He introduced us to local foods and customs. We had a great time.... More

I went on the island tour, hot springs tour and canyon tour with Explora Ya and all of them were amazing! It was very easy to book a tour and the prices were quite reasonable. Everything was well organized. I will definitely use them again when I return to Panama. Oscar was our guide for the canyon and hot springs... More

I had a great time on both the tours I took with the Explora Ya team! I hiked the pipeline trail with a guide very knowledgable about the flora and fauna. I studied Environmental Science in college so I was absolutely fascinated by all the cool science-y stuff Jose had to share. What blew me away was when he stopped... More

I found Explora Ya to be the most helpful of all the tour companies I checked out in Boquete. The ladies who work in the office are pleasant and extremely helpful, even about things that don't involve their tours. I appreciate that they took the time to help me pick a tour and also that they gave me information about... More

When I decided to visit Panama, my first thought was: "I want to hike Volcan Baru, the highest point in Panama". Looked for a best travel agency to hike with and found Explora Ya! They made it the best experience in my life though it was the toughest one too :-) The guide - Jose knew how to motivate and... More

Our first thought was-oh, another slick coffee tour where they try to peddle high priced coffee. But this is different! We were the only two people with our guide, Oscar, the manager of Explora Ya in Bouquet. Mr. Tito, the owner, created much of the machinery using parts from an old Suzuki. He is absolutely ingenious! We walked among the... More

There was a lot of missing information on the website. Visiting the office twice in the two previous days before our hike did not help, as they never told us about some VERY necessary things. They did not set up a meeting before giving us pointers, warnings and details that would have been critical to know about. I also must... More

Israel is a great guide and his focus is on giving you a great experience, no matter what the tour (he does coffee tours, hikes, bike rides, and more). Our friend did the coffee tour to Finca La Milagrosa last year with Israel and recommended it to us. We were not disappointed. Finca La Milagrosa is a unique little coffee... More

This tour is a must for tourist and residents alike. I was so honored to be accepted by the Ngobe Indians yesterday. From learning how to get fiber from plants that is used in weaving to how to dance with instruction from the chief and children, fun was had by all. This is a tour I will not forget. I... More

We hiked to the waterfalls with our guide Williams Hammeth. Williams was a great guide. He shared a wealth of information about the flora and fauna of the area. He is passionate about his work and the environment. I recommend you request his services if you visit the Boquette area.
