Went on a 3 hour coffee tour ($30) to Finca Dos Jefes with pick up and drop off at Boquete Outdoor Adventures. Pesticide free specialty coffee plantation that pays decent wages to its workers. See coffee cherries and drying beds. Taste medium versus dark roast and cascara tea. In depth explanation of the coffee growing process and of farm-to-cup. Amy is fluent in English and super engaging, entertaining, and informative. I’ve been on other coffee tours before and this one was the best. Can buy bags of coffee beans to take home at the end (cash only). Boquete outdoor adventures charges 7% surcharge for credit card bookings.

My kids and I took the Pipeline trail guided hike in hopes of seeing the Quetzal. This is the easy hike - so they say. It is still a bit strenuous and if you are older or afraid of heights it is a bit scary. At one point you Traverse the river on two old pieces of pipe; at another you cross on fallen trees. I am afraid of heights and didn’t enjoy that part. The elevation is quite high as well so it’s a tough hike if you aren’t used to the elevation. We did see six or seven Quetzal as well as a mama and baby sloth. Truly a great experience and I recommend it - but be aware of some of the challenges. I wore my hiking boots and was glad that I did.

We‘ve had the most wonderful time with the BOA team on our day trip to the beautiful island in the Chiriquí National Park. Everything was safe and reliable: bus, boat etc. Perfect weather, a really yummy lunch served right at the beach - what more can you ask for? :) A great group of fellow travelers was the cherry on top! Would definitely recommend this trip!

We had a fabulous experience whitewater rafting. I had never done this before so was anxious, but I quickly realized that the expert guides in each boat knew the river well and exactly what they were doing. Monkeys were pointed out in the trees and various birds were seen along the route. We pulled to the shore for a lunch of sandwiches, fruit and drink. The simple lunch was tasty and suited the setting. However, you wont find any indoor bathrooms along this scenic semi-jungle route. The trip concludes just below a gas station, where a cooler of drinks awaits and you can use the facilities. Outdoor Adventures takes photos and later in the day posts them to Flickr. We highly recommend this activity.
