We did the 4x4 Volcan Baru sunrise tour. It was beautiful. The ride is bumpy as everyone says. We are used to 4x4, country driving, and Pink Jeep. This was far bumpier than anything we had experienced. Not bad. Very technical. David was our driver and we felt safe the entire time. One of us is scared of heights and hates driving up mountains. This is tress and rock on both sides. Felt a lot safer than hanging off the side of a Colorado or Nevada mountain going 50mph. David drove slow, explained things as we went up, had a great playlist, and has good English. At the top it was raining and cloudy at first. David gave us jackets, gloves, and blankets. We walked to the top, then down for breakfast, then all chose to go back to the top once the clouds cleared after breakfast. David made us a breakfast of pastry, cheese, strawberries, corn cake, candy, and hot chocolate and coffee. Pick the hot chocolate with marshmallows. David had great playlists of classic rock on the way up and chill music on the way down. Best part of the day was the way David helped people. We saw workers walking up. David stopped to carry their bags up. We saw tired hikers at the top. David rearranged the truck to fit them in on the way down. His pure, loving heart showed and was as beautiful as the view at the top. Thanks for a great day.
