We loved the place and agree with all the positive reviews. However, there is no need at all for a 4X4 to get there. True, it is an offroad driving but the track is good and stable and if you drive carefully an slowly, you can do the 5.5 kms in 15 minutes.

We took an excursion to see this beach, it being defined as a little corner of paradise.
You have to admit that it's true.
Very white sand, crystal clear sea, all enclosed by rocks that create a picturesque and enchanting setting.
However, the wind is a big problem; we discovered that in many periods of the year the wind prevents us from spending even a few hours in this place.
We managed to swim, but it took a lot of courage to get out of the water and face the storm of wind and cold!

One must visit this beach. Make sure you carry sufficient water and food and spend the whole day relaxing in this beach. One requires a good 4WD to access this beach .

Al Fizayah Beach is renowned for its stunning natural beauty. The beach features pristine white sand, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and dramatic rocky surroundings. The backdrop of rugged mountains meeting the sea creates a picturesque and serene setting. The lack of commercial development enhances its unspoiled charm.

A little bit remoted from Salalah, the car is essential to get there. But then, you will be surprised by the beauty. Usually, the beach is empty, or almost empty, just a few people relaxing there, so you enjoy the pristine beach and crystal clear water.

If you want that desert island feel this is the beach for you. A 20 minute drive down a winding and bumpy track leads to an unspoilt gem. I'm almost loathed to review this place in case it gets too much attention. Go past Al Mughsail beach heading west (away from Salalah) and into the mountains. Follow the winding road through the mountains for about 15-20 minutes until you summit and the road straightens out. On your left is a turning (the first one you see) which turns into a dirt track after just a few yards. Follow this all the way down the mountain to the beach of your dreams.

Whilst in Salalah, we took a trip to Al Fizayah Beach. It's about an hours drive from Salalah City Centre. Once beyond the city limits, the drive through the mountains is absolutely spectacular. You pass one beach that is extremely long & very tempting to stop at after approx 40 mins. Its worth continuing up into the mountains to get to Al Fizayha. As climbing the mountains you will come across a sign for Al Fizayah saying it's 6kms. It's impossible to miss, as it's the only one. If you continue, you will come across an army check point, which means you've gone too far. Do not be alarmed by this check point, as you are still a very, very long way from the Yemeni border & another 1000kms from any possible threats. The descent to the beach is pretty hair raising, as it is steep & on an unpaved road. However, it is soooooo worth it.
This is an absolutely stunning beach with water the colour you dream of.
I would absolutely insist that anyone visiting Salalah, finds the time to visit this jewel.

A Natale che temperatura ha l acqua?

La temperatura è buona, fai il bagno tranquillamente. Poi dipende da ognuno di noi, io sono sarda e sono abituata all'acqua della Sardegna ma adoro i mari caldi.
