So the palace is surrounded by high walls no chance of seeing the inside. Beside a photo opportunity in front of the gates that's about it here. Do not make a special trip if you are passing by it is fine to stop at

The Palace is right in Salalah, so it is in the middle of the old city section. It is easy to get to (I walked from my hotel), but you only get to see the outside. It was quiet in the area when I was there, but I was there during the mourning of Sultan Qaboos' passing, so there may be more activity at other times.

This palace is not one you can visit or enter the ground. At most you can park your car close to the nearby souk and see what it looks like from the outside. There is history attached to it.. ask the locals to explain it to you :)

What a beautiful speculator residence. The sheers mountain in the background the vivid colours. The water in the front is sapphire blue. Would love to see the inside.

SultanS Palace is one of buildings what you have to see during your trip to Salalah. In morning time, if you are not muslim, you can go inside. It`s absolutely great building, excellent architecture. The second time I was there in nighttime-wonderful!

This can be skipped as there is nothing more to see but the outside wall of the palace, which does have nice emblems. Otherwise you can see the top of a mosque and a clocktower. thats all.

Impressive area of the building that you can imagine from outside: no access allowed. Nice garden surrounding the palace.

The palace is a beautiful building, surrounded by a green garden. They do not allow visitors inside, so it is only worth driving by to get a view of the palace.

It's worth driving past the Sultan's Palace and stopping to take a photo if you're in the area anyway, but be aware that this is not a tourist attraction or a place that can be visited. As such, there is not all that much to see beyond the impressive gates and the tops of the minarets & domes of the mosque inside the Palace complex. There is also a clock tower. Most of the Palace can't be seen at all as it is hidden behind high walls. The area around it is nicely landscaped with lots of greenery, trees & flowers. Not worth going out of your way for, but chances are you will visit nearby Hafa souq so might aswell make a stop here.

The palace is one of the amazing land marks of the sultanate with its beauty that mixes between the modern and traditional style.

It is a restricted place for entering inside but nice to have a look to it from outside
