Unlike milk sweets this can be stored for a while and can be kept in the refrigerator. A Kilogram of the Halwa ranges from OMR 2 to OMR 10 depending on the type... More

Contrary to previous reviews, there was a notice saying it is forbidden to go inside the factory. That wouldn't have been such a loss if the staff had been friendly and helpful. They weren't. We went to another shop further north along the road (near to the supermarket) where the owner was a delight, and the halwa was far superior.

Incidentally, my housing society compound shared the common wall with this Halwa Factory in Barka & very often we visited this place. Cannot forget the sweet smell of the Halwa all over the place. A small factory, neat and clean & a beautiful mosque in the compound. In fact our owner was the owner of this Halwa factory Al Aidaroos... More

Oman halwa is sometimes called "sweet meat", it is a special sweet that is given to people on a wedding occasion or on special function. I like the taste and the good smell. This is one of the best halwa factory in Oman !
