Fanie took us into the realm of the most fantastic hidden treasures of an unknown world in the Namib Desert. We had wanted to see the coastal dunes without damaging the environment. Fanie enabled us to do that. We had the excitement of four wheeling in the desert combined with learning the many secrets of a beautiful place. The desert... More

I had never ridden a quad bike before but after a few tries felt quite capable of tackling the dunes. We even had a quite elderly lady with us, yeah ok older than I am at 60. Riding the dunes was such fun but top that with stops at fascinating places deeper into the desert where Fanie dug out his... More

Really fun and informative trip. Great for every age. The guide is very safety conscious. Always checking if you are alright. He sees if you are comfortable and teaches you the basic of dune riding. Each trip is different because as the dunes move it reveals new gems.

Informative, educational and a must do for everybody. Fanie is passionate about the desert and the Kuiseb Delta in particular. He guides you into the unknown with love and respect. He shares every bit of the desert and her secrets with you. At times you almost feel as if you are treading on sacred land, imposing and disturbing that which... More

My second visit with the educated Fanie Du Preez taking me on a journey in history that once again gave me new perspectives and ideas on the history of our coastal town. He not only knows his history and keep all the information from all the different professors and doctors that accompany him on these trips but he has an... More

This is one experience will keep remembering and after this desert will never be the same for us. We were privileged to have complete private tour with Fanie, since it was a quite season. Fanie has 16 years of experience and he loves to tell people facts about desert life and history. Quad bikes are the most pleasant part of... More

We have lived in Saudi Arabia for many years and have a great respect for the desert and some of the ancient civilisations who did the rock art and hunted and gathered what they could. After reading on TA what to do in Walvis Bay we couldn't miss this trip. It is so pleasing to meet someone else like Fanie... More

Thank you Craig, it was a real pleasure to have clients who truly love the desert and it's hidden treasures. We developed this educational desert quad tour over a period of 16 years and use quads just as vehicles to take us into the dunes and back. It is, however also pleasant to drive in the clean free air of... More

We enjoyed the trip from the beginning to the end. Fanie is a fountain of knowledge about Kuiseb and the history of the desert and Namibian population. Do not let his matter-of-fact manner upset you. Fanie is not rude. He is CSI (can't stand idiots). You will be in safe hands. Anyone can do this trip. If you do exactly... More

Many thanks for your nice review. I enjoyed the CSI part, but actually we can not let novice drivers endanger themselves, so our safety rules must be adhered to. I am glad you really enjoyed the tour and wrote this great review. I trust the rest of your holiday was just as nice. More

Fanie is "the" guy to meet and let you tell you something about the Namib Desert. We had a great day, that never got boring. He told us so many things we didn't know about the desert. Even for our kids (5, 11 and 13yrs old) it was very interesting and they memorized so much. It is not about going... More

Thank you Gordon for going to the trouble to write this review, I really appreciate it. I am also very glad to hear that our tour was one of the highlights of your Namibian tour. Come again when the kids are a bit older, then they will enjoy it even more. Kind regards. More

Talk about an adventure unlike any other, we loved it. My husband and I and my adult daughter traveled to Namibia and South Africa in early September. This was our first scheduled activity and perhaps our favorite. Fanie is just a joy to be with, a true gentleman and professional. We got lost going to his place (despite the fact... More
