Wide expanse of beach, with camel and horse rides being offered at one end. THe water was cold for us so did not stay in the water too long. Walking along the beach is nice. Waves are small so good for children but for the...More

WIndy fashinating beach, the best time is at sunset. horse and camel rides, or just walking by the sea. During the Gnawa music festival it hosts wonderful concerts with lot of people dancing on the sand.

Loved Essaouira! So much space and quietness. Perfect to relax and switch off. Yes the winds are strong and sand could hurt when u walk at times. This should be expected. But the beauty of sea and wide deserted beaches win and it's miles better...More

We visited Essaouira during the Gnoua Music festival in June and July and found it very windy and chilly. Certainly not sunbathing/swimming material, however the city is in a very special spot along the coastline and bustling with fishing activity and markets in the souk...More

Yes, you can. Some people just lay out a towel whilst there are also a few sunbeds - not sure if totally 'public' or connected to bars. A lot of people use the beds at Beach & Friends - buy a drink or two and they're happy... More
