I really enjoyed being introduced to an unfamiliar landscape and ecology. The guide only spoke French but i brought a friend who is fluent and my bird app was invaluable for establishing the Latin names of birds. The guide was very knowledgeable and took us to places we might never have discovered alone.

We booked a walk quite last minute while having dinner at La Decouverte (although I had seen the reviews here while researching our break), going for a half day walk to the viewpoint. We really enjoyed getting out of the town for a bit and seeing a bit of "countryside"! Ottoman, our guide, spoke excellent English and was very chatty... More

This was a nice day trip to the country market and to a wild coast. The guide spoke very good English, was friendly and informative, a careful driver, and really took care of us. I was travelling with my 77 year old mother and he was exceptional in making sure she safely navigated the hilly paths and could rest when... More

Excellent, friendly guide (and careful driver). Fascinating stop in local farm. Walk through Argan forest, fields and along the beach to the waterfall was wonderful. So much space and so peaceful and so quiet. Then back up the hill at the same pace as the loaded donkey in front of us and on to our car. Fortunately there was only... More

My friends and I booked two of their walks. The day tour includes a visit to a traditional market followed by a walk through an argan tree forest (don't expect a dense forest!) and lunch in a berber home, ending in a women's co-operative, interesting, informative, easy (but don't forget to take a hat on a sunny hot day), with... An interesting and informative short tour into village life in Morocco. The guide (Othman) was knowledgeable and friendly. Well worth the time and money.

We spent a week in Essaouira and did this trip which I would thoroughly recommend. The guide, Hottoman, was brilliant - very knowledgeable. We visited a traditional Potter and learnt about the techniques of making the clay pots all done with feet and hands, and then had the privilege of watching this 80 year old gentleman throwing clay pots -... I only found out about this opportunity by chance, having eaten at La Decouverte, It was a spot of luck as I enjoy walking and it would be difficult to do this route on your own in the absence of footpaths and signs. We had a lovely guide and a nice lunch which was included, it wasn't a particularly cheap... More

We were a group of 7 and did the half-day tour to the argan forest. The guide was very informative and took his time to answer everyone's questions. It was nice to see a bit of country side and learn about the argan trees, products and industry. We visited a local house and had tea, which was a ncie break.... More

On holiday with our 2 grown up sons in Essaouira, we wanted to get out of town and explore. Our day trek with Ecotourisme et Randonnees was a great success. We walked 10 miles, through argan trees, to a beautiful deserted beach, to waterfalls, and finally stopped for a fantastic lunch at a house where we were made welcome by... More
