    Must go place!
If you are not far from KLIA, such as Kuala Lumpur or Malacca, this is a must go place for a good dose of shopping. It has a good variety of shops and brands, from international to local. Look out for those on offers, as you can get very good deals. There are also sufficient dining options.

    curious about the Mitsui outlet
In my opinion, the choice of goods for shopping is still good. but it's better to shop at Genting Factory Outlet. Thia shoping area is near to KLIA and far from the city. If you go from pavilion mall KL, you can took grab with +/- MYR 70 And it's open at 10.

A good place to while away the time between flights.
With time to kill at KLIA I decided to take the free bus to the Matsui Outlet. The short journey was smooth and the variety of shops was good for some window shopping and purchases. There were plenty of food outlets to choose from and I got a good dinner at a restaurant there. I didn’t need it but there was a left luggage facility for those carrying suitcases.

Had some spare layover time between flights so took the free courtesy bus from KLIA to the Mitsui Outlet. The bus ride was the best part of the experience.

Ridiculously priced shops, with ‘apparently heavily reduced’ items costing much more than the full price of central London.

Wife wanted a Kate Spade handbag (as she usually does when visiting outlets in the US) but I worked it out that it’d be cheaper to fly her from London to buy one in America. Over £330 for a small bag, which would usually be around £60 in America.

Same went for all other US / Uk brands. Was told it was due to import cost, for products that are ironically made in SE Asia!!

Shops were empty and no one buying anything. We ended up playing a game of who could find 5 customers with bags where they’d purchased something.

What a waste of 2-3 hours

1st the shuttle bus was not on time compared to the chat provided. 2nd, so many shops were closed down or closed. Even it is pandemic, the mall should have done something to it as the only 2 most popular store, Nike and Adidas have super long queue which the waiting time at least 45 mins. 3rd, the cafes and restaurants have reduced significantly compared than before, when the Malaysia government announced reopening, the mall could have speak to the previous tenants etc. Was a huge disappointment as compared to the Taiwan or Japan Mitsui park.

I find Mitsui is quiet convenience and fair. Even though i am fromKuala Lumpur, but sometimes i drive to Mitsui for my designer outfit. The price cheaper than what i'd pay in boutique.
But you need to plan. You might get up to 80% discount if they have in store promotion.
From sunglasses down to my sandal i bought it there.
Adelaide family from Australia did comment and compare with cameron highland. I think she might confused with genting highland. Yes genting highland they do have premium outlet as well under same roof. But certain brand you can find at Mitsui that you will not able get at Genting . Same with Genting sometime the designer brand you will not get in Mitsui.
In term of price .... i agree might be in Australia cheaper. But not to one of commentator from Jakarta. "Not cheap at all". Id been to all of the places in Indonesia. I did not find any of the place or outlet can beat the price. But if you are comparing with the same quality like what we have at Petaling Street of course Mitsui is not the place. To me Mitsui will be my 2nd option after JPO of course.

Although a bit further out, it like 30 mins to an hour or so commute depending where you are.
Not to pack mall. Lots of premium brands and discounts. You're bound to find something you fancy. We didn't leave empty hands, quite full actually.

I arrived from international flight got a few hours before transit. A friend recommend me to go there. The shuttle bus was located at KLIA Level 1 arrived every 20 minutes.

Shops include Nike, Adidas, Bally, Puma, Oakley, Samsonite .... Japanese grocery shop, Isetan outlet and some local brands.

What I found interesting this time was the puma golf shop. Bought few pairs of golf shoes, polo shirts at reasonable price.

Tips for shopping at the outlet
1. Depart earlier according to your flight time schedule, the shuttle bus may be delay during peak hours
2. Over RM300 be able to 6% tax refund
3. Got a food court and some restaurants in the mall. Try a Malaysia signature dish at the food court Hainanese Chicken rice for RMB11 around USD1.5 worth the value !!

Info from the sales that Monday to Friday mainly tourists from the shuttle bus. Weekend more locals come shopping. Happy Shopping !

Reminder
If your receipt are over RM300 and require refund make sure you have 30 mins - 1 hours depends on how long will be the queue. KLIA GST refund is one of the most inefficient system I ever overcome. Verification of goods and refund counter located at 2 different locations 5 mins away from each other.

1. Firstly buyers have to verify your items in counter C21 give you a stamp.
2. Then go to counter C1 to get your money or get the credit back to your credit card.

Happy treasure hunt! If you find my article helpful give me a like. Thanks in advance !

Went shopping after work with friends. Bought a few items at a resonable price. The Clarks store here is bigger than the one in JPO. Not all eateries are opened. So, we had limited choices for food. The parking fees are high for the area. It is RM2 per hour. No concessions of first 2 hours and add on hours for example. So, you see a lot of cars parked at the roadside while the parking lots were quite empty.
