The park offered a variety or rides and activities for my 9 and 4 year old children. We had bought a 2 days pass and the children enjoyed themselves tremendously. However, the queues at the ticketing counter could be better managed though. We bought our...More

We had a fun day overall but most of the park is very run down and in need of a refresh. Not much for older teenage kids really. Also 2 of the best rides not working.

Took the LRT to Sunway Lagoon and was well worth the trip. Heaps of water related activities, small animal displays and lots of rides to keep everyone entertained. Wave pool was closed for maintenance which was disappointing

We visited the Sunway Lagoon for the January period. Mainly because it's one of their quiet periods and their are no crowds. The disadvantage is that some of their rides close down for maintenance and cleaning, but are only closed down for a short period....More

Had a wonderful experience with my daughters. Was disappointed that some of the rides were closed tho. Worth paying extra for the quack express as some of the lines were really long. Need more signage to get people over to the Nickelodeon side as the...More

Only water rides roller coaster rides are only three animals park is very small and boaring and you can finish it in less than 40 minutes. Don't buy the two days ticket one day should be enough to cover up everything.

Sunway Lagoon or Putrajeya (8 Replies)
We are travelling to KL with an infant (1 1/2 yr old) for 6 days in March. We are confused between a day in Sunway lagoon tour or Putrajeya tour. How far is each of these places from say KLCC , how many hrs can we spend and what are the selling points of these places ?

Hi Sunway Lagoon is a selection of theme parks and shops, whilst Putrajaya is the adminstration capital so some nice buildings, lakes and bridges. Sunway is in Petaling Jaya and about 20 mins west of KLCC, whilst Putrajaya is 20mins south of KLCC. How many hours you could spend at each is really up to you, as I would not spend a minute at either. ---------------------------------------------------- PS The Malaysian forum is a friendly and helpful place, where basic manners,...More

Sunway Lagoon (7 Replies)
hi there i will be visiting sunway lagoon and find the 2 hotels there v expensive for me. (sunway resort and pyramid tower). does anyone has any cheaper option eg. RM200/night for 2 pax and it is near sunway so that i dont have to take taxi to sunway. or alternatively, i can stay at berjaya times square and take a taxi to and from sunway back. i just want to spend 1 day at sunway and the rest of the remaining 3 days in KL. does anyone has a better idea? thanks.

Response fromWK Liew|
Since you are only going to spend only 1 day in Sunway, I suggest you stay in a more centrally located hotel in Bukit Bintang, Imbi area. You can easily take a taxi to Sunway on the day you want to visit.

Distances between destinations. (1 Replies)
Can anyone tell me the distance between KL where we are staying and The Lost World of Tambun in travel time/kms? Also from KL to Sunway Lagoon?
April 19, 2009|
Response fromWK Liew|
Hi Knackstorm The Lost World of Tambun is located in Ipoh, which is in another state north of Kuala Lumpur. From Kuala Lumpur to Lost World is about 200km (about 2.5 hours travelling time). If you go to Lost World, I think it is better for you to stay overnight in Ipoh. From KL to Sunway Lagoon is about 20km and it takes about 30 min travelling time from KL city centre.
