The Kuching Waterfront can be reached by crossing Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman from Riverside Majestic Hotel where we stayed. It is a pleasant place to walk in the early morning and late evening. 1. At the west end, the newly renovated India Street can be reached and the Sarawak Textile Museum and a relatively new Plaza Merdeka (Shopping Mall) are... More

Good walk with good view. However, can be tiring especially walking in the hot sun. Remember to slather on your sunscreen and wear your hat or use an umbrella.

This is a nice place to have a walk or morning jog but, there's too many litters around especially in the river. It's saddening to see this. it's really lively at night with a lot of eateries available. Maybe that's lead to the littering of the area.

This place is known as the Waterfront. Soe historical buildings are located here, such as Astana and Fort Margherita. You can also cruise the river by using a traditional boat or a big boat at about 1-1.5 hours. At night, many food sellers are open their shops and you can enjoy your dinner while seeing the river view.

Like may places in Malaysia this place suffers from the usual litter but apart form that its a pretty pleasant place for a stroll or a jog --- its only about 1km long and easy to negotiate - you can get a boat to the other side of the river

An early morning stroll along this esplanade was quite an eye-opener. I particularly liked the plaques, placed at intervals along the walk, which gave historical information about Kuching. Historical buildings like the Square tower, Chinese Museum and Old Courthouse are all along this walk so it's a great way to see some of the sights of Kuching. At night the... More

Unable to get a parking space therefore just drove pass it. Drove round a couple of times and just have to see the so called waterfront area from the car whilst driving along. Also not able to eat at the food courts. Can only take photos of the cats from the car.

It's a pleasant walk down by the river with views across to The Astana, government buildings and Fort Margherita.

The kuching waterfront is lovely. Even in the middle of the day in scorching heat and high humidity. Very peaceful.

I stayed at the Hilton and the esplanade was right across the hotel. At night, there were many kiosks selling food, handicrafts, clothes and souvenirs. Few of the kiosks sell interesting food like charcoal burger, kek lapis and local food fare. It was a nice stroll along the Sarawak river with a good night view of the waterfront.
