Beside the RMCO we have been able to travel in Sarawak, thanks to Borneo a la carte ! Amelie and Laura have been really useful to explain us the government immigration rules, quite easy finally !
We stayed in Kuching and have visited Bako National Park without any tourist! The guide was really professional and explained us a lot about Sarawak culture, animals and plants. Amelie and Laura gave us a lot of advice to make our trip even better.
I highly recommend their services !

Very good service and organization from first contact to drop off at the airport. The team is friendly and extremely flexible (we had to rearrange the program due to flight cancellation related to the Covid19 situation). Special mention to Pie, our guide for 2 days is friendly, enthusiastic, funny and knowledgeable, and Lea and Andreas who where with us too, to the two gents who took us for a evening out in the jungle, and the gent who took us for a culinary tour in Kuching. We also had two days in a village sleeping with locals, which was a great experience despite heavy rains. The family showed us how they use bamboo and other things to create everyday items for home use. Great agency!

Firstly all my contact with Borneo a La Carte from the beginning was excellent and the itinerary and personalised booklet they sent prior to our trip was very impressive!
We did the half day trip to Semenggoh and whilst we didn't see any Orangutan (unfortunately it was still the fruiting season and sightings are rarer) our guide Piee ensured that we learnt alot and had a great time. He also took us to his favourite Laksa spot!
The next day we visited Bako National Park and were more fortunate with our wildlife spotting but again, Piee's outstanding knowledge meant we learnt so much more than if we had gone alone. He filled our trek with stories and answered all our questions, he really was an outstanding guide! I can highly recommend you book through this tour company and hope that you also get to meet Piee!

Our week in Malaysian Borneo was completely arranged through Borneo a La Carte. We settled on their company as virtually all the other tour options wome reviewed were mostly inflexible as to the dates and itineraries offered. Our tour dates were set by a subsequent event in Singapore. Why Borneo? Well, seeing Orangutans was paramount, but so was doing rainforest trekking. We had a tour book to refer to, but the area was an unknown.
We learned that Borneo a La Carte could meet our (initially ignorant) trip requests and also offered a lot of flexibility as to what occurred and when, and they educated us on the options available and let us pick and choose what we wanted to do and in what order. We wanted a naturalist to accompany us in the rainforest. They found us Lars Fehlandt, a naturalist who is intimate with the rainforest . Lars made our trekking come alive - literally. We saw things with his help that would otherwise have been missed.
Borneo a La Carte put together four successive tour options before we finalized a plan. We worked with Laura, always polite and very patient. They also educated us beforehand about Malaysian Borneo and what it had to offer. Borneo a La Carte never tried to hard-sell us or lead us to any particular activity unless it ended as a priority for us after our research and through mutual discussions. We can't say enough about our wonderful experience in Sarawak, thanks to Borneo a La Carte!

We went to the Bako nature park, the Semenggoh Ourang-outan centre and kayaking. The kayaking was a very pleasant and unexpected experience. Definitely recommended!

I was in Sarawak, travelling by myself in the low season, and they managed to arrange two half day tours for me, both were brilliant. They responded via email really quickly with lots of information and also in person they talked me through all the different tours. In the end they managed arrange for me to join a kayaking tour through Semadang which was fantastic, and also managed to arrange a lesson on the Sape (traditional 3 string instrument) in a long house with a certified living legend. Fantastic tour agency!

We live in Singapore and decided to go away for a weekend in Sarawak. It was a last minute decision and booked 2 weeks in advance flight and hotel. When we looked what to do in Sarrawak we foun this local travel agency agency . They have a very engaging website : all trips proposed sounded great and it was difficult to choose. As it was our first stay in Kuching we decided to go for a full day in Bako on Saturday and on Sunday a visit to Semengoh + Sarrawak cultural village .. the staff was very helpful via email. This agency knows how to get it right from end to end. Great website , great booking advices, fantastic guide , on time, well organized, knowledgeable and very nice . We really have had a fantastic experience and will really recommend anybody to get their trip organized with this agency

I was travelling with my wife throughout Borneo and learned about BorneoALaCarte in Kuching via TripAdvisor: this was such a great experience! We have exchanged with Amelie, Nicki and Laura, and they have been very helpful to plan the tours and recommend us what was the best to do given our needs. On top of that they have followed up on the logistics even on weekends (via Whatsapp). The team coming from France and Germany, they could really understand what we wanted and pointed us in the right direction. We have booked 4 tours with them: Bako National Park, Mulu National Park (3D/2N), Sanbutong River Cruise and Kubah National Park. They are also able to provide and customize tours that other agencies cannot. Everywhere we went, we mentionned that we were comng from BorneoALaCarte and this seem to inspire trust and a good reputation. In case it is still not clear, I can only recommend them to support you during your time in Borneo!
@BorneoALaCarte: it was really fun booking with you guys - you have been a big part of why our Borneo trip was so amazing! Thank you!! :)

We booked tours to go to Semenggoh Nature Reserve and Bako National Park with Borneo a La Carte and we were very pleased with the service. We were picked up on time and the guides were great. The sales team was very helpful answering all my queries. I would choose them again if I ever go back to Kuching!

Bonjour,

Hello,I wonder if this trip from Amelie Borneo a la carte is what we are looking for: , a traditional longhouse tour 2 nights (sleep there) and is not that expensive as in so many other booking Offices.
Is there a Chance to find reliable Price for a longhouse tour and trekking in the jungle (orang utan area).
Any recommendation how to find it?
Thks

Hi Marie,
We are an online booking service but based in Kuching. So to arrange any booking it can be made by contacting us through our website w w w (point) borneoalacarte (point) com
We also can arrange to met you in Kuching when you have arrived, at your hotel as our office is still under renovation (open, hopefully, by August).
Regarding your kid, there is many activities that I can think about it would be totally alright to bring your kid to enjoy it. May i know the age of the kid and the level of disability (can he walk)? And if there is anything he likes the most (animals...)
By the way, I do speak French if it can be more convenient for you :)
Best regards,
Amélie.
