Beside the RMCO we have been able to travel in Sarawak, thanks to Borneo a la carte ! Amelie and Laura have been really useful to explain us the government immigration rules, quite easy finally ! We stayed in Kuching and have visited Bako National Park without any tourist! The guide was really professional and explained us a lot about Sarawak culture, animals and plants. Amelie and Laura gave us a lot of advice to make our trip even better. I highly recommend their services !…

Very good service and organization from first contact to drop off at the airport. The team is friendly and extremely flexible (we had to rearrange the program due to flight cancellation related to the Covid19 situation). Special mention to Pie, our guide for 2 days is friendly, enthusiastic, funny and knowledgeable, and Lea and Andreas who where with us too, to the two gents who took us for a evening out in the jungle, and the gent who took us for a culinary tour in Kuching. We also had two days in a village sleeping with locals, which was a great experience despite heavy rains. The family showed us how they use bamboo and other things to create everyday items for home use. Great agency!…

Firstly all my contact with Borneo a La Carte from the beginning was excellent and the itinerary and personalised booklet they sent prior to our trip was very impressive! We did the half day trip to Semenggoh and whilst we didn't see any Orangutan (unfortunately it was still the fruiting season and sightings are rarer) our guide Piee ensured that we learnt alot and had a great time. He also took us to his favourite Laksa spot! The next day we visited Bako National Park and were more fortunate with our wildlife spotting but again, Piee's outstanding knowledge meant we learnt so much more than if we had gone alone. He filled our trek with stories and answered all our questions, he really was an outstanding guide! I can highly recommend you book through this tour company and hope that you also get to meet Piee! …

Our week in Malaysian Borneo was completely arranged through Borneo a La Carte. We settled on their company as virtually all the other tour options wome reviewed were mostly inflexible as to the dates and itineraries offered. Our tour dates were set by a subsequent event in Singapore. Why Borneo? Well, seeing Orangutans was paramount, but so was doing rainforest trekking. We had a tour book to refer to, but the area was an unknown. We learned that Borneo a La Carte could meet our (initially ignorant) trip requests and also offered a lot of flexibility as to what occurred and when, and they educated us on the options available and let us pick and choose what we wanted to do and in what order. We wanted a naturalist to accompany us in the rainforest. They found us Lars Fehlandt, a naturalist who is intimate with the rainforest . Lars made our trekking come alive - literally. We saw things with his help that would otherwise have been missed. Borneo a La Carte put together four successive tour options before we finalized a plan. We worked with Laura, always polite and very patient. They also educated us beforehand about Malaysian Borneo and what it had to offer. Borneo a La Carte never tried to hard-sell us or lead us to any particular activity unless it ended as a priority for us after our research and through mutual discussions. We can't say enough about our wonderful experience in Sarawak, thanks to Borneo a La Carte!…
