Our goal was to escape the city so we wanted to spend as much time in nature as possible. As a result, we opted for the overnight homestay in a Long House. We were very pleased with our complete experience, the kayaking, the homestay and of course the visit to the orangutan sanctuary. While not an inexpensive tour, all was... More

Package C First off to the Orangutans at the Semmengoh Wildlife Centre. The number of orangutans you see will depend mostly on your luck during feeding time. My second visit here saw 3 mothers with their babies. You wait in the mostly cool rainforest. Ideally bring some repellent and prepare for wet weather just in case. Next to the village... More

It was our first time in Kuching and we really enjoyed the tour provided by The Rucksack. The tour started with a visit to Semmengoh Wildlife Centre, where we saw 4 Orang Utans coming out from the forest during feeding time. Next, we proceeded to the Rainforest Kayaking, which is my favourite part of the tour. We started off by... More

We had a really great trip with Rucksack Rainforest Kayaking. The guides were punctual, organised and informative. Be aware that the river can flow quite fast, so you will get wet, and might become sunburnt if you are not careful. i would also not recommend if you have no kayaking experience at all. The trip down the river was remarkable... More

Option A was a great family day trip, including a four year old. The booking and pick up was very efficient, the scenery is lovely (even on the drive out to the start), and the kayaking is gentle but fun, just right for young kids. I only drop one star because the guides were a little distant on the river.... More

A great day and intro to rainforest and kayaking. We took our 8 and 6yo on the trip and they loved it. Beautiful river and rainforest with stunning limestone formations. Lunch in a local village and good food. Great, friendly guides. It was a very easy adventure closes to Kuching.

This was a fun day with kayaking, village walk, lunch and more kayaking. The guides were very friendly and spoke perfect English. The kayaking is 11km through beautiful rainforest and we meandered along at a leisurely pace. They have double kayaks which was great for us. At one stage my wife & I tipped our kayak over and we ended... More

We opted for the B package kayak tour, which included a visit at the Semenggoh nature reserve at feeding time. It was worthed. You can't see wild orangoutangs that close in the jungle. Amazing! Make sure to bring your camera! The kayak experience was excellent and well organized. This is a family run business that take great pride in caring... More

Thanks to the amazing The Rucksack team for organizing our last minute kayaking trip. Such a lovely people we met and accompanied us. My "Malaya" friend was blown away with the A service. Despite being under the hot sun for almost 5 hours, however it was indeed an amazing experience. Thank you. #banggajadiorangSarawaktok
