This is a beautiful pedestrian bridge which gives lovely views of the river, the Legislative assembly building, and fabulous sunset views over the floating mosque. It is lit up at night which is when the bridge looks spectacular. It can get very hot crossing the bridge and there is very little shade.

Darul Hana Bridge in Kuching, built to completion in November 2017, spans over the serene Sarawak River. Pedestrians are able to admire the beautiful view of Kuching City, with iconic buildings such as the State Legislative Assembly Complex (DUN) and the entire Kuching Waterfront Walkway in sight.

Some special facts to take note of:
- The bridge is shaped as an 'S', for Sarawak
- The supporting towers of the bridge are made in the form of the unique hornbill bird, which is a prominent symbol of the Sarawak culture.
-This bridge not only is used daily by commuters. It provides direct access to the iconic Fort Margherita and the Brooke Gallery.

This bridge has a soft spot in my heart. Often when I return to Kuching to visit my wife and family-in-law, I'd somehow end up in the Kuching Waterfront walkways, admiring the tranquility of the Sarawak River. That would then take me to the Darul Hana Bridge, where I have spent much time enjoying a certain calmn. It is really beautiful to be immersed in this amazing culture that is unique to Kuchingites.

Beautiful bridge especially at night when it lights up and change colours.
The bridge along with Esplanade and river waterfront and mosque makes stunning views.
A must see in Kuching.

this suspension bridge is for pedestrian and bicycle (not for riding!) only. connects the Kuching South with its hotels and old historic Kuching centre, with the North bank of the Sarawak river where the State parliament building n Astana (Governors official residence ) and Fort Margarita (from Rajah Brooke days) and Malay houses.
a photogenic and peaceful location -
the bridge has several sitting and viewing areas on it for those who may just want to sit and meditate.
it is a suspension bridge, so certain parts of it may seem to move with your weight as you walk - but fully cemented , so no worries.
Sides are more than waist height, but children should be supervised.
Sitting on the ledge of the sides of the bridge for selfie is potentially suicidal.

At night, there’s lighting to illuminate the bridge making it very colourful. First try on the bridge feels a little shaky (perhaps that’s the design appeal?) and we didn’t complete the walk. Next morning, we tried again and it was perfectly stable maybe because lesser users. Overall, a great place to see the river and it’s surrounding. Can see the nearby little mountains too!

The bridge in daylight is pretty impressive but at night with the water fountain display, music and light show it is definitely one not to be missed if you are staying in Kuching. there are several shows during the evening and their times are displayed. Best watched from the opposite bano or on the bridge itself.

This place have a nice night view, the lighting will change colour every 30 seconds, you can take a walk across to the other side, but there is nothing much to see there.
The most happening side is the waterfront as during the night especially during weekends, you can get to try on air wheels or electrical tricycle here, kids can play with water bubbles, buying all kinds of local food or souvenir etc.
My kids always enjoyed coming here

Don´t get me wrong, the bridge is nice and all and the evening fountain is cool. It just seems to me that in the country where a lot of people are living in sheds is a little waste of money to build such a monstrosity. Malaysia (and Serewak especially) have a lot of other, natural ways to attract tourists.

We were amazed at the concept of the bridge build and it has a unique design. Colour lights on this bridge adds to the beauty of the Darul Hana Bridge. The bridge cross over the Sarawak River.
