This place does serve simple afternoon High-tea with good finger food while we can have a good view of the Likas and part of the Kota Kinabalu Coastal Ares views.

Manage to get a glimpse of the sunset and sunrise view. Worth for the wake up in early 5am. Bt u really need a good luck to have a clear view though... Too much mist on my visit... The night view to the city is just perfect from kokol haven resort (i think thats the name...haha)

The mountain is so nice with a beautiful view. Best time to go is about 4 to 5pm and have a coffee or tea while waiting for sunset. The place is cool. The is a small hotel name Kokol Heaven. The cafe provide a good view of the mountain and sunset. The sunset view is worth waiting.

Did not stay at resort, only went the restaurant/cafe. Had a good few cups of drinks & cakes slices. The Soto Ayam was very good 👍😍. The view was panoramic along the way & up the resort area. Cool & windy. But too bad the day i went was the period which haze was bad from Sumatra forest fire September 2019. View was not very clear but still great to me. Ambience at the restaurant/cafe was good. Some renovation works going on at that area also now.

I was staying at the Kasih Sayang Resort in Kokol Hill. To enjoy the drive make sure you are driving a car that can climb steep roads (recommends at least a 1.5 cc). Don't rush, enjoy a slow casual drive while enjoying the view. Keep your windows done once the air gets cool, it's refreshing (as long as there is not trucks in front of you!). The road uphill is winding, so if you have motion sickness, take your meds before you start off. Bring a windbreaker, it gets windy and cold especially in the evenings. Just a word of caution if you are staying at Rasa Sayang Resort. Waze will give you two possible routes back from town. One is the main well-paved tarmac road (which I would recommend) and the other is a short-cut, but it takes you through a very narrow unpaved off-the-track road. Bumpy, narrow, certain parts extremely steep. I do not recommend that, especially at night in pitch darkness. But if you are the adventurous type, you can try - make sure your car is in good condition and can take a steep climb, good absorbers, bright lights and a medium size car (big cars unadvisable). The restaurant at Rasa Sayang serves pretty good food with a great view. Service is friendly and efficient. It's a good short getaway as it is only about an hour drive from the city. Quiet, great cool refreshing air, slow paced, nice drive with a view.
