This is a place to go if you wanna do marketing or souvenir shopping. Great bargains available. Be careful of beggars, kids are being used. Tight spaces between stalls.

If you like seafood and do not mind mingling with the crowd in tight spaces, this is the place for you in Kota Kinabalu. We had buttered tiger prawns from one of the stalls and it was to die for.

Seafood crackers and dried sea products are available as souvenir. Fresh vegetables even dry goods at the lowest price. Keep your expensive shoes at home so you can choose your seafoods leisurely if you plan to cook them yourself. Stalls selling local delicacies are lined up for your convenience. Don't expect parking space if you're dropping by late evening. Quite... More

Coming from the north the first part of the market is all pearls, jewelry and other trinkets and crafts made and sold by Philippino's. After that you come by the market with vegetables and spices and the catch of the day brought in by local fishermen. Great atmosphere to take in as you squeeze through the crowd. Be sure to... More
