After visiting the Sabah State Mosque, the next destination should be Sabah Museum if you want to get to know more of Malaysian history, culture, and tradition. The museum also offers other exhibits such as Natural History, Ceramics, Archaeology, Science and Technology, a Heritage Village, and a botanical garden.

Good museum to learn about Sabah's history. They were supposed to have a video or short movie there but the room was closed. The whale on display is huge and a highlight. I liked the history section but they also had ceramics, clothing, ancient history. The Islamic Museum was disappointing and only worth 10 minutes inside. The train exhibit was good to see also.

Museum was interesting, but could do with some updating. Many exhibits have QR code links, but cell service wasn’t always great inside. Catering was not good, don’t plan on eating here !
