This place is in area which is relative isolated. So you meet more homeless dogs than people (I was the ony guest). The tanks are old fashioned, but the one for sharks still is big. You find as usual a sea turtle (which I did pet) and there even are a few mammals like slow lories.

They used to have more animals & various types of fishes and sea creatures but lack of funding made the place looking rather rundown. Even the main attraction of seeing a man feeding the fishes in the aquarium was disappointing with only 1 shark and more of small fishes.

I'm supportive of facilities that do good work but this facility is one of the worse ever seen. Should be shut down. Bad to no maintenance of its exhibits. Terrible place!

This place is a bit of an embarrasment to kk, every tank was filled with pea green water... hence the name? The fish are healthy enough if you can see them through the dirty water or behind filthy glass. As someone else said, the staff seemed disinterested, (we had to wipe our own table in the cafe) If you have... More

We heard a lot about this place but to be honest we were disappointed. The taxi ride is 20 ringits one way but very important to tell taxi driver to wait for you as there are no taxis available near this place . The entry fee for non Malaysian is expensive. The staff was cooperative and there was a guided... More

The creatures at this 'aquarium' are being kept in terrible conditions. The fish tanks were so clogged up with algae it was very difficult to even see through the glass. Terrapins etc fair no better. The staff on duty when we visited were chatting among themselves and hardly acknowledged us being there.

The Green Connection is a great place to take students and children to learn about different (mostly marine based animals) and conservation issues surrounding them. On October 1st I took a group of 40 students and received raving reviews from them (selfie after selfie!). For many of them, it was the first time they could see Borneo specific species as... More

it's due to the low visitor numbers, not the faith in what they are doing. I was amazed that this was in 33rd place of things to do. Unfortunately the web site is missing some bits of information which I hope will be changed. It's open 0930 to 1630 seven days a week. Do not miss the fish feeding ,weekdays... More

Today we had rain so we decided to browse around the aquarium and arrange for a taxi. Once we arrived we wee slightly shocked to find out that taxi's in that area were hard to find so we arranged for our driver to wait the hour or so it took to walk around. We had our own personal guide who... More

It is so worth to go and i felt myself happy as a child. We visited place in heavy rain, become almost wet but even more happy. Very friendly girl guided us despite on rain. Very informative, seems she knows all animals in details as I asked many questions. Staff are highly inspired on work they do. They try to... More
