Try few times to buy the ticket at the counter, only able to buy it on the third times. There are four slot in the evening and we took the slot at 1800hrs. As they limiting passenger into the boat, the ticket purchase not available online but can only be bought earlier on the same day at the counter. The cruise start from the Putra Bridge until Seri Gemilang Bridge (PICC) and return, and took about 45 minutes to complete. Along the cruise, you'll see different view of Putrajaya from lake. Passenger can go outside of the boat at the front and stern to get spectacular view, the front side quite crowded while the stern side is spacey but a bit noisy due to engine sound.

Cruise around the lake takes 45min and it is worth the money. If you take a bigger boat you can go upstairs in the open for a much better look. Great view of the Pink mosque and the prime ministers office and also of the beautiful green spaces which are many around the lake.
It is a must do if in Putrajaya

We took a small boat to ride. Cost us RM40 pp. Cruise was not available when we went as there were not enough people. A tour guide was not there in the boat and hence we had to figure out the sights our own. And the boat dirver didn't speak at all. A bit too costly for a very short (around 20 min) ride. But a good way to see a lot of sights in once if you're short of time.

We are a family of 4 and were really looking forward to taking a cruise on the Putrajaya lake with Cruise Tasik. Unfortunately we missed the validity of the tickets due to personal reasons by some 3 days and requested if Cruise Tasik could extend the validity. Despite dropping several emails and making several calls, we couldn’t get any response from Cruise Tasik. We were fine if they couldn’t agree to our request for extension but just not responding to emails despite all chasers clearly says that they don’t really take their customers seriously. In our case this is still 4 tickets but I would really be worried if I booked a personal or corporate event with them. They came across to me as very undependable and unprofessional in this regard.

Poor management. They dont answer phone calls. Can only buy ticket for the immediate cruise. Air conditioning in the boat didnt work so very hot with lots if people crammed in. Ran 20 mins late. Wasted so much time getting individual photos even for those who dont want to buy one.

Cruise Tasik was a once-in-a-lifetime experience (we are unlikely to repeat it). The 45-minute cruise is RM53 per adult, the guide is difficult to hear through the poor audio system, and the other passengers acted as though the boat was entirely theirs to run around in. We did not appreciate that it was "mandatory" to have our picture taken prior to boarding, even though we had no interest whatsoever in purchasing a souvenir photo. Ironically, the high point was ignoring the city view and noticing a variety of birds on the shore and turtles in the water.

I have written over 200 reviews on Trip Advisor and truly believe in the power of feedback. I hope you find my review helpful.
While staying in Putrajaya we decided to check out the air conditioned cruise on lake Putrajaya. We opted to try out the early-bird special which is 50% off the normal price between 10am-12 noon. Note: on Weekdays their first cruise is at 11 am.
When we arrived at 10:45 they said they only do the cruise if a minimum 6 people show up. We thought we were out of luck but they decided to be super nice and allow us to buy tickets. 2 adult and 1 child was 72 Ringgit or about $17 USD. They probably used more gas than that!
There are other smaller boats with no AC but it was 37 C and we opted for the big boat.
Great AC. Huge windows. You can go to the front of the boat which is outside for great photo-ops. I imagine this boat is packed on weekends.
The early-bird special is a 30 minute ride compared to the 45 minute ride in the afternoon but we saw all the main things to see anyways. Just great views.
We would do it again.

Forget about all the dining, hot air balloon and electric bikes. Make your Putra visit exceptional by getting on the lake cruise. A clearer overview can be achieved from the lake

The cruise is a great way to view the amazing modern architecture but the large boat has tinted windows in the cabin area so no good for photos and the top viewing area got very crowded. Guide was only in Iran and for 10 minutes although we had some lovely tourists from Iran that gave us an interpretation. The trip is one side of the lake only and turns back on itself but this means you get to see everything. They did seem to delay until the boat was full and we left 20 minutes later than planned. They also refused access to the toilet so we had to use nearby shops.

An hour long cool peaceful cruise ride. Had very good sightings of the majestic mosque and the nearby buildings and bridges. Nice breezy wind and perfect weather. Enjoyed a lot.

Is the marina walking distance ( were not that fit ) to the Pullman hotel. How regularly do they run ? We are only on a stopover, from the evening Aug 16 th - evening 17th.
but would love to do something on the water.

Unfortunately, no. But if you are staying at Pullman, it is just besides Marina Putrajaya, they have water activities as well if I'm not mistaken.
