This is a nice man-made lake in the centre of Putrajaya. Part of the lake is in the botanical garden where you can also partake in water activities (if it weren’t for Covid). It’s a very photogenic area even if you didn’t include the pretty buildings around the lake such as Putra Mosque, Seri Perdana, Putra Bridge and Seri Wawasan Bridge.

The seven bridges of this resort can be captured through road travel but much better from the boat cruise. The lake is well organized providing spectacular views.

Went there with a 3yo kid, he was sitting on his kid tricycle stroller, and it took us 2.5 hours to make a 13km round (after try a few short cut). the lake is HUGE, but it is amazing.

The city is newly built and done from scratch. The lake itself is man made. Beautifully done. The views are great. The government building and the Dataram Mosque are a joy to watch. Beautiful architecture, beautifully constructed and maintained. It's very near to the KL Int airport. Do not miss visiting here

Just a short train ride from KL you find Putrajaya. Spacious, clean and beautiful buildings. We walked along the lake and crossed to bridges to get back to our starting point. You can have some food or a drink along the way. A balloon ride or visit the monument for a free history lesson. Putrajaya has a lot to offer but due to our limited time we just enjoyed the park and lake.

Was there for an event. The lake is quite clean and well maintained. Didn't observe any rubbish on the lake and its surrounds.

The view across the Putrajaya Lake is very beautiful and can see from miles around. Lake is a fantastic place to visit and can be enjoyed with family and friends. Putrajaya, a modern spotlessly clean new city with lots to see with excellent interesting architectures on some buildings around the city and lake.

Three of us arrived at Dataran Perdana at 10:30am and we walked to the ticket counter nearby. To our pleasure we enjoyed the early bird discount of the cruise tickets at RM15 (adult) and RM10 (children). This is definitely great value of money for 30 minutes cruise at this wonderful man-made lake considering a much shorter cruise at Mines lake cost us more.
It was a sunny morning and was getting a bit hot in the open air upper deck. We decided to move to the air-conditioned lower deck to have the relaxing tour. The tour allowed us to have a good glimpse of major landmark buildings and architectures in this city. The kids really enjoyed the cruise tour while it was also educational and eye opener for them to get exposed to their country's administrative capital.

If you want to have a very beautiful and scenic landscape of the lake, go to the front of PICC (Putrajaya International Convention Center) and from there you can watch the whole lake and the beautiful bridges.

Tried this with family on Federal Territory Day. Got 50% discount on this special day hence our fare was only RM40 (2 adults and 1 child). There are 2 types of boat ie the Dondang Sayang or Cruise Boat. We tried the latter. Overall very good experience, staff were friendly and helpful, boat was big and comfortable... We really enjoyed ourselves! Will definitely recommend to others. Thumbs up!!!

Lake is always open with no hindrance till the things are relative to freaking; however if you need munching, shopping, then best time would be after 5 pm because by that time, all restaurants and shops lift up their shutters for business. Morning time is equally good if the climate permits and its not too hot. Lake is purely an open area across the shores and one can enjoy here anytime.
