Georgetown with its UNESCO World Heritage Buildings, diverse culture and many interesting and safe places to visit was a pleasant surprise and one of the better places in Asia to visit. The diversity of food and culture, the interesting streets that have great old buildings...More

I would rate Georgetown in my top five Asian places to stay. It's a UNESCO world heritage site so it doesn't have soulless skyscrapers and large hotels, just streets of colourful townhouses, brilliant restaurants and cafes. It's definitely one of those places you can explore...More

Just before you plan your trip in the world heritage site...it is a must to know the historical highlights so you can pinpoint your areas of interest. The center has friendly staff and plenty of materials that are informative and helpful.

Old buildings and their renovation interest me, there had been some alarming news in papers about foreign companies buying whole blocks of colonial houses so I wanted some facts. The personnel at the Heritage center informed me, that nobody can demolish old, historical buildings without...More

We're not talking much here. A few displays, but that's about it. They're open weekdays, closed for a hour or so from 1:00 to 2:00 each day for lunch. As other reviewers have pointed out -- this is really an office space. They do have...More
