Had a really great time at The Camera Museum. Definitely a place worth visiting if you’re a camera enthusiast! The tour was very informative and it was super cool to try out some of the old equipment. Would go again!

It is an eye opener and educational for us and especially for my child. There are many different types of cameras on display and a dark room to show case how photos were developed from a film. I think it is an absolutely worthy trip for us.

The promotion and advertisement strategy of this museum was successful, through the distribute leaflet, seem like this is the only place that worth to visit in Penang, and just ignore the rest. I was so upset after visited. Most of the camera display outside the cabinet were broken. All print out is just download from website and the quality is terrible. Other than the front portion, the rest of the display rooms are just nonsense. The camera obscura in the obscura room is just a mass product and can purchase from ebay easily. The machine gun camera in the spy room seem like their signature display item in the museum, because the tour guide was so pound with it and keep on mention, I have no idea why a gadget made to train how to kill need to be so emphasise? The dark room is more like a store room. The pin hole room is a joke, we tried that during primary school. Paying RM 20 to see those items and photos that can purchase and download from internet, you are got to be kidding?! This museum has been over rated and over rank.

After hunting around for this museum on a really hot and humid afternoon, we arrived to find the museum CLOSED and notice on the door that they have moved.

You would think that they should have updated tour operators and hotels so that interested tourists like us need not waste our time in such pointless visit.

The entrance fee of 20RM is way too high for this boring place, but then Malaysia is notorious for high admission fees to the worthless 'attractions'. The old cameras which probably they have collected from the flea market are displayed on the second floor. It's a small place & they have converted an old shoplot to this museum. Just do something else rather than visiting here.

Dont understand why tripadvisor ranking no.1 ???Province rm20 more worthy to visit another antique shop in Chulia street .

Hi GunFung In response to your review "it's not worth", we would like to apologize if our staff have been too busy to entertain you during your short visit to our premise. At The Camera Museum, we provided well organised guided tour for our museum, our apologize that we failed to make you notice that. As we have recently received tremendous response from tourist and locals as well, our place might be a little bit crowded and we are again deeply sorry for causing the unpleasant experience, but rest assure that we treat all visitors equally. Also we believe that you might have not visited the museum itself, from your review you said it's not worth it without even experienced the real museum upstairs. We hope you will have the chance to visit us again and experience the museum for yourself. Thank you for reminding us to be our best. Best regards Tony Ch'ng

This is probably the smallest museum and we spent abt 30 min overall, the collection of cameras are not that many and it will certainly help if there are more write-ups on the history of camera. We find the fee to be pricy. The place is not well kept and some places are dusty. It's nice to have café there but it's so small it is full all the time.

Some old broken cameras on display and a couple of exhibit rooms dedicated to processing pictures and an old studio. If you have no knowledge of how cameras work prior to the digital age then this might be interesting but for those who are photographer it's not worth it.

We were suppose to have a guide but no one took as around as well. A lot of space dedicated to selling gifts and coffee on the ground floor!

Instead of calling a camera muzeum, might as well just call this place a camera junk yard, there are nothing worth visiting besides looking at old and not functioning cameras and lots, lots of replicas, if you like photography this is not the right place for you, if you like to act as if you are into photography then you can consider to come here.
