This mansion was one of several in Penang built for very wealthy Chinese Merchants. The décor is very lavish, detailed and spectacular. We spent a couple of hours there as there is much to see about the history of this family. The 1999 film of Anna and the King of Siam used this clan house in the film.

The entrance fee is just M$10/pax. Very well manage and offer a rich collection of Chinese clans history in Penang.

Beautiful buildings and a very interesting museum, well worth visiting. Founded in 1835 by the wealthy and influential Khoo clan. The temple is the main attraction.

Well preserved and seems to be still in used. I actually liked that there was no one to explain everything to me coz it let me walk and enjoy at my own pace. It was cool and quiet inside, not any other people and even had space to sit and rest my feet, after a tired day of walking.

Love the architecture and wonder workmanship of the building. Entrance fee - 10RM per pax. No guided tour available. Free and easy. Exit Khoo Kongsi, take a left and a few street arts will be there.

We visited this with a guide so he explained the stories depicted in the temple and history. Probably takes 15-20 mins to see it. Can stay longer
